The quality is nice. It worked for what I wanted to use it for, and it will not fall or come off unless you take it off which is important to me.

I think for mounting lightweight accessories; these cold shoe mounts work well. They have rubber on the bottom and a removable locating pin to minimize rotation. Conveniently, if you don't need the locating pin at the base, it can be installed on the front to avoid getting lost.It is worth mentioning that these cold shoes are not designed for use with an on-camera flash. Mounting a speedlight may cause the pins to get stuck, making removal difficult. This happened to me when I attached an old Godox flash, but was able to remove it by disassembling the flash hot shoe.Overall, for adding an extra cold shoe to a camera cage or compatible device, these mounts are simple yet well-made.

It has the one-way insert design to keep the microphone, light, etc. from going all the way through and mounts to your camera cage using the ever so popular 1/4"-20 screw threads.These come in handy because most cages I've purchased for my cameras make sense at first, but if you're like me... then you are constantly changing the configuration. Whether you are building it out with a top handle, v-mount battery, shotgun microphone, etc. these are essential cold shoe adapters to have at your disposal.SmallRig makes a lot of good products, and I believe this is another one. I can recommend them for all users (beginners or advanced) and am glad that I have purchased them.

I’ve always appreciated SmallRig gear, but their cold shoe adapters used to have a drawback—once attached, you’d often have to tighten them down a lot and hope they wouldn’t loosen if bumped. The newer design addresses this with the addition of a guide pin, which helps keep the adapter more secure. The pin is also removable, with a convenient storage spot on the mount itself to avoid losing it. These adapters feel solid and function as they should. The guide pin is a thoughtful improvement, and they’re definitely a better option than the older models.

They mount on to the camera cage securely and hold super tight. They have a one direction rail, so the attachments wont slide out. They work well and hold great.
