Really not much to say here. Smallrig is a champ, and they make great products. Most all of the components in this kit are ones I already own, but it was nice to get a complete set which I can just leave on another tripod or setup for a different lens. The base works great, is easy to get the camera on and off of, and is nicely finished. I love the Smallrig carbon fiber rods and now use them exclusively. The lens support and base are all perfectly designed, with more adjustments for height than my old rigs. Only thing that is unusual about this kit is the new finish that smallrig is using. Its rough and feels sort of like a chalkboard. I really dont like how it feels, and wish they return to their old smooth finish. Having said that, this is a tool and as such it works perfectly and if you need a support rig, look no further. One note, I mostly shoot Sigma glass and the center base does not appear to be compatible with anything other than the 3 brands listed.

I own multiple Small Rig products and have been happy with them. Sad to say this is not one of them. Even though it seemed to be a little overpriced I bought it anyway. Putting it together is harder than it needs to be. Part of the difficulty is the design. The included plate (lens specific) needs four bolts to attach to the lens once you remove the original lens plate. Thing is the bolts from the original lens plate don't work with the needed Small Rig lens plate. Small Rig should have included four extra bolts that fit the needed Small Rig lens plate. To make matters worse attaching the Small Rig base plate to the Small Rig lens plate is harder than necessary due to the design. The Small Rig base plate extends over the lens plate so it is harder than it needs to be to attach things. I will update this review after I head to Home Depot to purchase the needed four bolts; but for now both the design that makes assembly harder than it needs to be and lack of all parts needed makes me give this product a low review.

Absolutely love it. It's quite adjustable. It has 2 points of contact for mounting (Locked on your camera, and insert to mid point), and a support up front so it really feels solid. It even works with the Canon 200-800 well with a little modding and a velcro wrap, and that lens has a really awkward amount of lens movement.This is built extremely well and is Smallrig standard awesomeness. If you are in a need for a lens support like this, I would put this one high in your consideration list. Personally I love the extra opportunity you get for mounting and other things that the rail system allows.Pictures show it without the modding for now, but I was able to take a long velcro strap I use for other photography related rigging and it went around the lens just fine. With further modding you can even open up access to your lens adjustments so the strap doesn't interfere with anything.
