I tried a few rigs for the R5 and R5 C and they all had issues with the cage getting in the way of the buttons on the camera or are excessively bulky. I found this smallrig cage to be perfect for my needs. It’s strong and robust enough for when you need to build out a full cinema rig while also being light and streamlined enough to leave on the camera all the time for casual shooting of stills and video. Fit is perfect, has internal padding so it doesn’t scratch the camera body which is a plus. The top handle has a great ergonomic feel without looking weird and having unnecessary size. Love this rig all around. SmallRig has really come a long way. They used to be the economic option and for this instance they’re the BEST option and also the most economical. Great product!

This is worth the upgraded cost just to get the cable clamp which doesn't seem to be available separately. Fit and finish are excellent and the nato rail side-handle is very handy for a hand-grip. Most of the other cages do not have the nato rail integrated like this.The top handle is pretty adorable too.

This piece of metal junk did not fit the Canon Eos R5 C as promised. However, before throwing in the towel I tried every which way to get the main cage to fit snug but it wouldn't and I found myself pushing and prodding my $3500 camera into this cage a bit too hard. Fortunately I never forced the camera into any spots but if I could do it all over I would not have applied as much pressure to try to make it fit. This piece of junk product is simply not worth causing damage to one's camera - thumbs down!

The build quality and fit to the camera is NEXT LEVEL!! I've had other cages that don't fit well or allow movement, but this is solid, lightweight, and has an incredible feel. I highly recommend it.

Doesn’t come with the required tool, which is a very small custom Allen wrench which I do not have.

Missing mounting points on top right and top left side. If you got extra USB C PD battery to mount, you will regret buying this cage.

I need the cage and the HDMI/ USBC clamp. I do not need the Handle as I already own a Smallrig handle. Smallrig does not include the HDMI/USBC clamp if u just buy only the cage. There is also no option to buy the HDMI/ USBC separately from Smallrig. So you either buy the entire kit or buy the cage without the needed clamp. For the same price, the competitors are offering, full cage + HDMI clamp+ Lens Support. Smallrig needs to include the clamp with the cage.

I go to many shoots daily and grabbing the handle makes it easy to transport. In addition, I can attach a massive variety of items to the frame.

Yes the mk2 isn't wobbly and has extra holes to mount things. Plus the handle is sweet. Love this.

Este es mi primer comentario negativo en Amazon.Hoy recibà mi cámara Canon R5C, monté el smallrig sin problemas pero al desmontarlo el tornillo pequeño del costado se jodió y no se puede desmontar, he tenido que romper el smallrig y casi me cargó la camara!!! La cámara quedó con algunos rayones y necesito que se hagan cargo de los daños.
