We have had this automatic feeder for 2 years now. Our 2 cats have used it every day since the day we bought it, with their food dispensing 4 times a day. We have never had a single problem with this feeder, it has been reliable for the past 2 years. It looks just as clean and new as the day we got it. Setup is incredibly easy as well. This feeder has exceeded all expectations and is well worth the money. I could not recommend this enough to my fellow cat parents.

UPDATE!I’ve had the feeder for several weeks now and It definitely does it’s job! My kitty seems much less stressed when we leave and seems to have much less food insecurity. She goes running as soon as it calls her! I haven’t had any issues yet with her knocking it over but we have it wedged in a corner. The slow feeder modifications we made seem to do the trick and no clogs or missed feedings yet! So far- a great investment! If you have a “scarf and barf†cat- read this!Portion size and servings was a major factor in my search for an auto feeder, but also how it was dispensed. I read in most reviews on this product that one portion is approximately 1 TBSP- however I tested this with my own cats kibble and the portion size does vary for each feeding a bit. This may have just as much to do with size and shape of kibble- but my kibbles are well within the range they suggest. I tested about 1 portion about 10 times and sometimes it resulted in a scant TBSP and other times it was a heaping TBSP- almost 1.5 TBSP. Now if your cat has a strict diet- this may be an issue- and I will be monitoring my kitty for weight gain to be sure she is being fed appropriately.Another reason I selected this feeder was because I was hoping the two bowls would slow her down as she has a tendency to “scarf and barfâ€. My cat is one who typically has to use a slow feeder or food puzzle to keep from eating too fast. With the bowls being open she was definitely able to eat too fast still. I pursued a small silicone slow feeder mat that fit perfectly into one of the bowl holders and attached it with Velcro so I could still remove it for cleaning. In the other bowl a place a semi- large rock- flat enough for her to get around, heavy enough that she can’t remove it, but small enough that she can push it around to get to kibbles around it. So far- both of these have helped slow her down- I am experimenting to see which works best.IF YOU HAVE TWO CATS! BE WARNED the proportions that end up in each bowl can vary greatly! Sometimes you get an even amount in each bowl- but more often that not- it seemed to dispense 25%-50% more in the left side bowl. We had two good reasons for getting an auto feeder. One: she is food obsessed and cries at us non stop if we even walk near her food cabinet or open anything that sounds like it could be food. She is perfectly healthy but I thought allowing her to “graze†more throughout the day would be helpful. Second- when we go out of town- our cat sitter is unable to make it home right at dinner time and then my cat becomes frantic and starts getting into things searching for food! So hopefully this will also help her not miss meals- and take the pressure off our sitter to get off work in time to feed her.SO FAR the feeder is doing its job! It was very easy to program and set a recording. It was also very easy to assemble- though you must let the batteries kick on and start working before plugging it it. I was pushing buttons trying to get it to work and it did not start working until I did this. Not a problem- just a quirk. Also we had to prime the hopper by lifting it out and turning it several times to get food into each dispensing compartment before it would start dispensing properly. Some people commented on it not being too sturdy. We have ours wedged into a corner- so that probably deters her from trying. So far- seems pretty solid! Also, the lid seems to lock well in place and you have to push the unlock button pretty hard and lift the lid simultaneously- so I don’t think my cat will be able to find a way in.Hope this review helps you decide! Most of these don’t seem to be made for cats like mine but we’ve made it work!

MAR 2, 2024: I've had this feeder for a few days now. I bought the wifi version simply because it was on sale - I didn't NEED the wifi version, but I figured that since it was on sale, it would be nice to have. At the time of this review, I give it 4/5 stars. 1) The set-up was relatively easy and quick to get going. Connecting the feeder and the app to my wifi was straight forward. The only issue I had was I wasn't sure if I was supposed to connect to MY wifi or the wifi named "smartfeeder". I had to connect to MY wifi, because it wouldn't work if I tried the smartfeeder wifi. So I don't know why that was even an option. But once I figured that out, it was smooth sailing. Putting the feeder together was also easy. The only thing that even needs to be "put together" is the feeding bowls and the two-way splitters. These just slide right in to slots on the feeder. No screws or nails involved whatsoever. In fact, you don't even need any special tools to put it together other than a flat head screw driver to put batteries in the bottom. The manual recommends that you use both the battery power and the charger power at the same time. Which makes sense, because if you only use the charger power, then your feeder will go down if the power ever goes out. And if you only use the battery power, the the wifi feature won't work and you need to change the batteries every so often. So I have both power options going at the same time. The feeder uses four D-sized batteries, and the batteries DO NOT come with it. I knew this ahead of time and bought the batteries before the feeder was delivered. The two-way splitter is also nice if you have two pets that need to eat. I personally don't use it because this feeder is meant for a specific pet I have. He eats special food that the other pets can't eat. 2) Setting up the feeding schedule was also easy. As soon as my phone app and my feeder were connected, the time setting on the feeder was changed automatically to match my phone clock. So all I had to do was put in the feeding schedule. This was also easy to do: all I had to do was put in the feeding time, feeding portion amount, and then save it. Again, the only issue I had with this was how much food was dispensed in each portion. Because you can put any kind of small dry food in it, the portion sizes would be a little different for every food type. For reference, my cat eats a prescription diet of Hills Urinary Care (I've included a picture of his kibble next to a US dime and a centimeter tape measure for an easy reference for other buyers). Through a quick test run, I discovered that 6 portions equals half a cup of food. Or roughly 40-45 grams. Any pet owner can easily test this with their own food. Just manually dispense a certain amount of food, and then measure how much it is. My cat needs just one cup/90 grams of food a day, so I didn't need long to test this. 3) I haven't yet tried the voice message function because I do not want to use it. I keep the feeder close by my bed and I don't want to hear myself yelling out to my cat at 6am. I will test it though and put it in a later review. 4) Even though I bought the wifi version, the feeder can still be controlled with physical buttons on top of the feeder in case the app goes down. Which I love. I was hesitant to buy the wifi version because of this very reason. I didn't want the app to crash and not have a way of feeding my cat if I was ever away. The buttons on the feeder work exactly how the app does. You can change the clock time, set the feeding times, set the feeding portion amounts, and record your message with physical buttons. You can also use a physical button to manually dispense 1 portion of food as a little treat if you want. So in case the app ever stops working, you can still set feeding times. 5) And now on to the app. The app was easy to download (the feeder came with a QR code to scan to get to the app) and it's easy to navigate. There aren't a lot of menu options to get lost in, so I feel like even an older person could use it relatively easy. The app also allows you to name your feeder, which is nice in the event you have multiple feeders. And my favorite part of the app is that you can see a feeding log of all the times the feeder had dispensed food. This is such an amazing feature that will ease any pet-owners nerves if they are ever away and want to be sure their pet is getting fed. Just look at the feeding log and see if the feeder dispensed food at the time it was supposed to. And if the feeder didn't dispense any food, you can just dispense it yourself instantly with the app. So, no matter what, your pet is able to get food when you're not there. 6) The feeder holds almost 4 pounds of food. Again, this will vary depending on what kind of dry food you use. Because my cat's kibble is pretty small, I was able to pack a lot into the feeder. I buy four pounds bags, and I could almost fit the entire thing. I only had a little bit left that wouldn't fit. So if you have to go away for a few days, you can fill the feeder to the top and never worry about your pet eating all of the food and then going hungry.Overall, at the time of this review, I absolutely love the feeder. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my pet will always have a way of being fed.

My cat was waking me up more than three times a night/early morning wanting breakfast and with this automatic cat feeder I am finally getting a good nights rest. I love that you can set up to 41 meal times (I only use the 3 though) at anytime of the day you want. It's reliable and easy to use and I love that it flashes a blue light to let you know when the food is running low and needs refilling.I and my cat couldn't be happier with it!

Very helpful when we would away. If you don't have pest issues, this would be great. It worked wonders in our previous house but after we moved, there is no way to keep the ants out.
