The purpose and benefit of the D’Amore Engineering / SMD Crossover Calibrator. Most modern car audio amplifiers have a built in crossover on the side. Usually, it will start at 30hz and have a huge gap, all the way up to (sometimes) 500hz. The purpose of this tool is to enable the installer to set the crossover frequency of an electronic crossover to the desired frequency, accurately and quickly. Enter "Competition Mode" and easily match gains on any 4-channel amplifier or even multiple bass amplifiers. This is VERY important when using subwoofers that share a common chamber, especially if you have 2 (or more) amplifiers on a dual voice coil driver.

Need I say much more? Stop fussing around with math or pretending you knew where the frequency was that you were trying to set. Besides, pride aside, save that time too, I can set crossovers in minutes or less with this thing.

Great product. Any SMD product has a good amount of R&D into its practical use and the CC-1 is just the same. The only issue I had was the seller didn’t want to get me a replacement disc that was defective. They offered that I download the tracks and make my own. I ended up contacting SMD directly and they happily sent out a replacement. I still do tuning for random people who still use their CD players so meh.

Fast and easy to use. Read the instructions, get familiar with them, refer to them when you're using the CC-1, doing this makes the process go a lot faster. I have been involve in car audio around 12 years now and this product in my personal opinion, is a golden tool that any installer should have along with the DD-1. Unlike the other reviews I received both CDs(A & B).

Ordered this calibrator and received it quickly. The instructions are simple to follow and the sound system I was working on sounds great. Definitely recommended if you want a properly tuned sound system.
