We linked 4 mats together to cover the length of the handicap ramp. They were easy to install. Worked great. They were a bit challenging to flatten out because they come folded in a box. But not too bad. They do not feel super warm to the touch but melted the snow off right away.

Plastic which covers border of mat cracked on first use. Did not heat as advertised and did not melt ice well overnight.Not worth the money. Good maybe for snow but not ice.

The mat works amazingly! Kept the area in front of hot tub clear and warm all winter! Big safety bonus for us- no slipping even with wet feet getting out of tub. LOVE THIS! It is a must have!

As other reviewers have reported, the mat's stiff plastic border cracked as soon I unrolled the product. But the mat itself remained in good condition and performed well through two days of heavy snow. How many winters it'll keep working if used regularly, I don't know!Also, don't trust the mat's electrical connections for being water resistant. I tightly wrapped mine with (my own) electrical safety tape. Without that precaution, I absolutely wouldn't dare put this product out in wet weather.

Heating pads are very effective but you have to be careful to get them up to room temperature before unfolding to avoid fracturing the pvc edging

Got them in December. Now, in February , the rubber is breaking.

The mat works well as advertised to keep the pathway clear and is a decent price. However, the quality of the material used is questionable. The edge wrap is made of plastic that can’t withstand cold. Which is a strange choice for something that is designed to melt snow and ice. When the mat arrived, that edge was already cracked at the places where it was folded. Had I not plugged it in and warmed the mat up prior to unfolding, more cracks would have occurred. The edge cuts and stitching are also uneven. There is also some heating element metal exposed in one area. I guess that’s why this is such a good deal?

They work as described, but right out of the box the rubber trim on the edges cracked where it was folded, the power cord was pulled out of the connection exposing the wires (on both units) and the mats still won't lay flat, despite multiple attempts to flatten folds, even after 7 days of use. It's a good idea, just poor quality.

2nd time purchasing. like the product but last shipment did not come with the power cord

it just turns the snow into a puddle that stay on it then that get trapped by the snow around it..No good for snow.. maybe ice MAYBE>.
