Why the 5 star review though?Because it works. Little bug can't try to pull his (censored) hair out if he's a wee little Daisy.PROS:-It's padded with FOAM and holds it's shape even after having been machine washed once.-Well made. I refer back to having machine washed it. ( AIR DRY THOUGH! ALWAYS AIR DRY)- Seems to stay on just fine. My boy's neck is about 6" I purchased a small and he wears it with it adjusted to as wide as it gets ( so I could still fit a couple fingers through while he has it on so it's not chokey )It has so far stayed on without issue, try as he might to remove it.- Also, little bugger would try to kick it off of his head, he hasn't ripped it yet thought I only subject him to the indignity if he's ripping his hair out. ( He is seeing a vet about multiple things. He's rescue kitty and transitions are hard. )-Cute: I got the space pattern. It's well printed fabric.- Softness: If I had to wear one for medical reasons, I'd hope for something not unlike this. It's flexable, soft and probably doesn't work like a reverse megaphone compaired to hard plastic E-Collars.- He can still eat and drink with little problem and the cone doesn't seem to be too heavy for him. He's a small breed young adult cat. Weighs about 9 lbs is about as long as an american football. Not a burly guy.- Value for the price: This was well worth the money so far.CONS:-As with all cones. Cats/dogs HATE them. they care not for whether or not it is for the greater good.-Visibility, again: All cones cause a bit of a blind spot and the clear one's, albeit clear, aren't that much better, In my opinion.

When my son finally got me a kitten I knew I was going to have to have him neutered. I bought this collar and I was very very glad that I did. It is extremely easy to use it is nice and soft does not hurt the kitten. It fit well and did its job. Though as cats will do he did try to find a way to get to his incision. It was very easy to leave this collar on him for the 7 Days necessary while he was annoyed with it it worked well. It was easy to switch from the up position to the down position. This is an extremely good value for the money if you have an animal a small animal that is going in for any kind of surgery or just need some protection this is the caller to buy. Especially when they get food on it it's super easy to clean it off.

My excessive grooming cat got neutered and the cone sent with us from the vet was SO long he could hardly walk in it. He would pout and could hardly hold his head up. He is SO much happier in this alternative and he can groom but not get to his surgical site. I also feel comfortable leaving him out of his kennel with this soft collar on because he cannot get stuck anywhere as easily because it is much more flexible than a standard cone of shame. It’s also a plus that it’s space themed and his name is Spock 😊 🖖ðŸ»

Bought two of these collars for my cats, to do their flea treatment. ( How two indoor cats got fleas is beyond me) These collars have just the right amount of form, while still being soft and not to heavy. Please be warned however, them staying on depends ENTIRELY on your cat's temperament. My boy cat sat quietly and let the collar stay on for nearly 2 hours while his flea treatment dried. My girl took off zooming and ripped it of IMMEDIATELY. HAD to put her in a pet T-shirt instead. With that being said, overall it's cute, quality product. Cats are able to undue the Velcro and get out of it though, so really depends on your pet. If your pet has a good temperament to wear a collar, when needed, then I recommend.

Love this for it works! My 14 year old cat out of the blue, likes to pull her fur out! We would try to distract her and water bottle, nothing stopped her except this collar! Now she has fur growing back and we’ve tried removing the collar in hopes she’d stop, nope! So she’s getting another one so they can be hand wash and dry. It may become a permanent thing now.

It doesn't matter what size you get, my cat was able to easily reach the incision site from a leg amputation. It doesn't stop them at all, my kitty is only 8 lbs and we got her a small, it wouldn't fit her neck, way too small, unfortunately we bought the size up and again way too small, these were made for very small kittens. Doesn't matter which size you pick the length of the actual "cone" is too short and she could still lick her wounds. Also, since it's fabric, it can easily be pushed around. Any "cone" made of fabric won't work, please don't waste your money, you will just have to use a hard cone, it will also stop the pets urge to lick itself, which will help, it's not fun for them to wear it and not fun to see them struggle with it on but it's for their best interest in the end and it will save expensive trips to the vet to get re-stapled or re-stiched.

To reduce discomfort suggest introducing collar a couple days for 5-10 minutes before surgery date. Makes transition easier. This is a great collar flips forward or backward which I do for main feeding time. Sleeping and other activities cone stlyle for ease of movement. Darius has no problem sleeping in it or eating. I do recomment it.
