Use the Soil texture testing jar to determine your soil texture type (sand, silt, loam, clay, etc.) and you can use the same calibrated jar to perform the Garden Tutor soil pH test. Adjusting soil pH requires that you know your soil texture type so this is an excellent way to do both tests. Both kits come with detailed booklets loaded with helpful information.

This test is very generic. More so for seeing how much silt, etc is in your soil. I don't think the ph test is accurate. I'm not sure how ALL 24 of my gardens can be 7.0. All have different soil and get different ammendments.
