With the schools closed we have been doing school work from home. Her music teacher sent home music work, but all instruments are kept at school. I needed something quick and cheap to allow her to practice her music reading. This was a great solution. It came much faster than expected and what you order is exactly what you get.

This is a great beginner recorder/flute. However, be warned that if your kid uses it to sword fight their friend it is going to break. Wish I had a picture of the aftermath but none of the pieces made it home.

Bought it for someone else's 3 year old. She loves blowing as hard as she can which produces a decently loud noise. It doesn't sound good but I take satisfaction from starting her on a musical path. Parents are less than thrilled but that's not my problem.

I used it as a multiple joint smoking device I seen in a meme it worked great for this purpose how ever I'm not a musician so I don't know about its real uses quality

I knew that a six dollar recorder wasn't going to be great, but I was at least expecting to blow the same notes every time. Nope. There's so much air leak at both its connection points that your pitch can be radically different and unpredictable, even when keeping your fingers on the same holes.Spend a few dollars more and get a better recorder, this one isn't usable for anything more than a prop.

Genuinely blown away that they even still teach this in school. We had the option to use a school provided one or buy one through the school. I took the secret third option and bought this bright red one off Amazon. Looking forward to hearing an absolutely bangin' rendition of 'Hot Cross Buns' at the next school concert.Bonus points because it will make it easier to spot my kid in the crowd.

I've returned this. I know recorders are not the greatest sounding instrument in the world, but this model was just so shrill. The sound was awful. And the bottom hole wasn't offset enough for comfortable fingering. There was no way I could cover it without shifting my hand in an awkward position, making it hard to sound the notes properly.

This would be useless for kids in school because they even need to play the lower notes and this recorder doesn't allow that. The bottom notes are scratchy, they vibrate and sometimes the sound barely comes out. This is coming from someone that teaches the recorder. This recorder was immediately returned.
