Fit my 03 Ford F-150, 2 wheel drive, super cab short box truck. Did not come with bolts so keep the original 2. Someone mentioned that it will not lower on it's own without weight and I saw that as well so I pulled some out on my work bench, once installed it would be awkward to lower the cable my yourself. Overall happy with the purchase.

This hoist is 1/3 the cost of OEM and so far is a clean reproduction that works like OEM. It bolts up like it should with no complaints. Durability is unknown but it’s replacing a 25 year old part so I’m sure it will last atleast half as long.

First of all, the bolt holes don't line up. I had to drill the frame bigger to get the bolts in the hoist. At that point I should have checked out the part closer. The new hoist sits at a perfect right angle to the mounting plate while the original hoist doesn't. Anyone that has changed a tire knows you need to attach the lock key to the extension rod Ford provides and stick it the hole provided in the rear bumper. The hole in the bumper is slightly lower than the hoist so the hoist needs to tilted slightly down towards the bumper so the lock key meets the hoist evenly and does not spin out. This hoist is not tilted making it impossible to get the key to sit flush against the hoist. The key kept jumping off the hoist till I looked at the old hoist and realized what was wrong. Horrible fit.

Hole alignment was off about 1/8 inch. I drilled out both holes (on the truck) about 1/16 inch and added washers. It fits and works perfect.

Easy to install and works like it should. Really enjoy removing the key requirement to raise and lower the spare.

While the Amazon part for assured me that this would fit....it didn't. However, this is not unique to this particular brand/part. This is the 3rd part (2 from a different vendor) that I was assured would fit just like the OEM. They are very similar but the distance between the integrated nuts in opposite corners is 1/4" difference. I had to modify (drill out with step bit) my stock truck AND the part (cut a 1/8" notch) in order to get them to line up. (No, I do not have a replacement bumper, bed, or any previous mods to the spare carrier.)With mods, it works fine and it's cheaper than OEM.But beware the bolts may not line up.

Seemed like a quality part until I looked under the back of my truck yesterday and noticed that my spare tire was gone. Apparently the cable snapped. Good stuff!

The mounting bracket does not lineup with the truck frame, how to elongate the mounting bracket holes. Other than that worked great
