I had to modify two holes the right hand intake and water pump holes did not line up and I had to slote the holes

Good bang for the buck, this was the cheapest and best alt bracket I could find for a 350 SBC... It does seem to bend a little when I'm prying on my alternator to get the belt tight, but all in all it's pretty good. I wouldn't say this is 5 stars because of that bending, I assume the metal is cheap and hopefully not hollow, but for what it's worth, I'm not running 1000 hp, this works for a daily driver.

The item is strong. Not the most refined finish work but will do the job if it fit correctly. This bracket did not fit my SB Chevy. Logic dictates that if everything fits well together (i.e.: heads, manifold, long water pump) then this item should fit well into everything, right? The upper bracket seemed to be OK, although I did not even try to install it. The lower bracket, however, did not fit adequately as the holes never aligned together. If you were to tighten the LWP bolts then you'd be off with the bolt to the head and if you installed the long bolt to the head that you'd be off with the LWP. Long? Misaligned holes? All of the above?Bottom line, poor engineering is evident. Will be returned.
