I like how it has several applications, from binoculars to scope, to my night vision, the ease of moving from one to the next is very simple. Several I have tried like this have been over- engineered with to many parts. This one is by far the best!!

Good built product, but did not hold well to the phone (s24 ultra) too heavy. Maybe it better with a smaller phone.also hard to align.

The unit clamps to both an eyepiece, and a cell phone, allowing for a lot of adjustment, so that you can use your phone to take photos or movies of what you're seeing. In practice, the phone clamp is a bit marginal, in that the largest phones barely fit. My phone is a LG V60, quite large. It just barely fits. The eyepiece fit is good, but again, this depends on your application. If the eyepiece is horizontal, and is a focusing eyepiece, it's likely to move if you hang this much weight on it. However, as in my application, a microscope with its vertical eyepieces works quite well.

The eyepiece grasper is excellent but the phone grasper is the weak part as it is difficult to position the phone in exactly the proper position over the eyepiece. This is critical to moon photography or any night-time photography. Also, your phone is inaccessible as a phone when strapped to your eyepiece on your telescope.

The pipe-clamp side is outstanding, incredibly solid build, very firm grip. Every moving part is well thought-out, with rubber pads to prevent unwanted motion. The important parts are metal and screwed in to allow repair. In actual use, it works well, holds tight, and does not allow vibration. However, I don't like the piece that holds the phone. It looks thick and reinforced, but doesn't feel like quality plastic, and the notches that grip the phone are in a bad spot for every phone. My Samsung phone is thin enough and round enough that the slopes can just barely grip the front corners. With my thin rubber case the grip is more tenuous, and if you have a thicker or squarer phone or case, the grip just isn't going to be very good. All that said, I still give it full stars. The quality of most of it overrides my one complaint.

I ordered the Spectrum OI Phone Adapter Mount to attach my SmartPhone to a monocular telescope so I can take photos. The adapter is well made, of metal, with a plastic piece that holds the camera. The adapter attaches to the telescope easily and securely.Affixing it to a SmartPhone isn't quite as simple. The camera piece is a spring-loaded assembly; pull out one side of the holder, until it is wide enough to slip the phone in, then release it and the spring pulls both sides together to hold the camera in place. My phone had to be removed from its case before it would fit into the brackets on either side. (If the brackets had been slightly wider I could have left the case on for protection.)Once the phone is in the adapter, it must be pivoted until the phone camera lens lines up exactly with the scope eyepiece; it is not always quick or easy to get everything into position. Unless you leave the camera/monoscope combo set up, this is not something you can grab and run with for that once-in-a-lifetime wildlife photo.FYI: If your scope/binoculars/etc have a tripod mount, and you have a tripod, use it! Juggling this assembly in your hands is possible, but a tripod makes things a lot simpler, and you’ll get better photos. The Amazon product page states that the adapter has a Live [sic] Time Warranty; however, the printed material that came with it says Three Year Warranty. The adapter is manufactured in People’s Republic of China, and sold by Spectrum Optical Instruments in Lake Forest, CA

The thumb dial for this phone adapter is very strong and the grabber lips hold tightly. I used this on my PVS-14 NVG and it worked perfectly. I think its features stand out, granted many of these things are very similar. Also, it mounted my S22+ perfectly, and will likely for any smartphone.
