What can I say it works! It’s lightweight and sturdy, this does fit a vixen style mount but you must turn it sideways length wise to fit but it still secured well I have this whith a 600mm lens and a mirrored camera.

This adapter perfectly fits the finderscope dovetail mount on my Orion telescope. The 1/4-20 standard bolt allows easy attachment of a Tele-Vue solar finder to the Orion so I can safely align the sun in the telescope's field of view in a foolproof way.Just what I needed, and makes attachment so easy and convenient compared to the alternative of sticking the solar finder to the telescope with adhesive.

I wanted to mount a camera to my telescope (not looking through it, just on top of it) but couldn't find a way to do it until I found this gem. It has the standard screw for mounting a camera as if it were on a tripod. A shoe holder (order separately) fits to the telescope and now my camera tracks the stars along with my telescope. Made of aluminum, not plastic, that allows my camera to be securely mounted. Well worth the price!

This item only works as intended if it's purchased along with it's longer 120mm version that actually has 2 screws. The 120mm version doesn't fit a Dovetail saddle,but it's longer screw can replace the one that comes with this item; and only at that point can it safely thread your camera securely to this mount. I highly recommend buying the triple Finder Scope mount bracket by INKESI,or ALSTAR which is a finderscope bracket with 3 dovetail saddles; so two of the 3 saddles can be occupied by your camera, and either guide scope, or ASIAIR, as the saddles are so close only two can be utilized if larger items are attached like a camera, or 50mm guidescope. Good product, you just have to purchase two versions to use it, screw should be longer; but hey, the fact it attaches to a Dovetail saddle is worth the price; and the 120mm mount can always be used for other applications.
