I was comparing this item and a similarly priced item and almost didn't get either one because of reviews that said they had terrible tooling and that they marred and damaged items. I strongly suspect those people just got the occasional defect and that the everyone else just didn't bother to leave reviews, because these are just fine. The first thing I did was closely inspect them for nicks or anything thing weird; they're nice and smooth, well-made and close fully and evenly.I tested them out and they work great. These are my first wire looping pliers and they're awesome, it's so much easier to make consistent loops now! I'm especially looking forward to making my own eye pins for earrings, which will save money!One thing to note: these are small pliers, not full size tools. They're the same size as most jewelry making pliers but I just want to point out the size in case anyone is expecting full size tools. They fit easily on one hand and match the size of all my other jewelry-making tools.So glad I didn't bother getting expensive brand name ones when these did the trick just fine!

Good for bending wire, the quality is pretty decent for the price. These will work good for fishing lures or jewelry making. I tried them and they do what they were bought for.

They’re really useless they gouge or completely share the wire when you try to use them! I honestly couldn’t believe how bad they were, at first glance they looked great, but they’re useless, there’s just no way to use them without cutting into the material you’re trying to bend

These are great and work as expected. They are a bit on the smaller side but have not had any issues with multiple wire sizes and strengths.

The steel used in these pliers doesn’t appear to be hardened, as the surface dents easily when working with harder wires. I used this tool to bend 0.8 mm steel spring wire, which required significant effort and left the jaws slightly damaged after just one use. I would not recommend these pliers for anything tougher than copper wire.
