DJI Air Unit Compatibility Compatible with all DJI Air Units: DJI O3/RunCam Link/Caddx Vista/DJI Air Unit V1. Please use the solder pads < 9V, G, T1, R1, G, SUBS(R2) > on the front right corner of the flight controller to make a pin-to-pin connection with the solder pads on the DJI Air Unit. UART1 (T1, R1) is used for OSD and SUBS (R2) is used for DJI Air Unit’s internal SBUS receiver signal input.

This was the first stack I ever used and I used it for my speedybee bee35 pro drone. easy to set up and tune with a step by step configuration.

For anyone out there wondering if this is for you.. if you have decent understanding of the components and a steady hand for soldering these speedy bee controllers are perfect. 10/10. But if you are just starting out and you a hard on things and done fully grasp electronics then I’d advise you to buy one that isn’t a soldering project and has plugs on it. They have a full size board with all the cable connections using plugs instead of solder. The app is great the esc is powerful and build quality is always great with SpeedyBee. I fly SpeedyBee in 4 separate drones and if I decide to build another it WILL have a SpeedyBee controller. I’d also point you toward the Bee35 frame for beginners. It’s the way to go.

I have this F405 mini-FC and 35-amp ESC stack in my 3.5" DIY drone build and two different ESCs have failed in less than a year. It makes me feel like the 35A ESC is not robust enough for 6s even though the literature says it will support 4s-6s. My experience has been that motor wires de-solder from the ESC a couple of times, then the ESC eventually just dies. The first time it occurred, I just thought maybe I received a defective unit, so I ordered and installed a new FC and ESC. Then the same thing happened after a couple of months of daily flights. I now plan to install the full-size F405 V4 55-amp ESC stack from SpeedyBee because that is what I run in my 7" 6s build and I've never had a problem. The installation will be tight because the 3.5" Bee35 frame is very compact, but I think it will be worth the trouble if the reliability improves. I've had really good luck with most SpeedyBee products, but I don't think the mini stack is suitable for 6s builds based on my experience.
