I replaced the brushless motor in my Capra (540 can) with this motor/ESC combo. I was debating Hobbywing, but all my electronics are Spektrum, and the motor/ESC is made by the same folks (with slight differences in programming/fw). This motor is closer to a 550 can brushed which meant I had to shave my skid a little to make it fit as the other ESC was not mounted to the can of the motor. I also swapped in a 9T-32P pinion. This meant some shaving on the transmission case and sanding - I was able to get the gear mesh I wanted so I buttoned it all up.Pro:- FOC - if you get it moving or adjust the throttle trim so it is crawling - the FOC works great and it will slow crawl and maintain speed.- Quiet - This is much quieter than the brushed motor it is replacing, I also greased the gears well- Torque and Punch - Amazing - play with the ESC programmer and you can dial these in perfectly to suit your needs.- Drag Brake - My crawler will stop on just about any incline like the brakes are on- ESC programmability - lots of options here- Combo motor/ESC- Sensored brushless motorCons:- Had to modify skid to fit (minor for my rig)- No Smart - can't get Lipo voltage w/o some telemetry (so I installed a voltage display in dash - it's a crawler so I am by it...)

I really like this combo. Compact, and very functional. From a very slow crawl to wheel speed on demand. Very quiet also. Drag brake is awesome. 🙌 Definitely recommend it

This set up is extremely compact and easy to set up . Spend the extra 30 and get the programmer to dial in the settings although the factory settings are pretty good . The programmer is super easy to use when connected to this unit. I took out my rig for the first time this weekend and ran it for 3 hours on a Traxxas 4000 2 cell lipo battery and the performance was night and day compared to my stock set up .

Direct fit for my Scx10iii Basecamp, has been absolutely fantastic, better control on the slow crawls lots of extra for powering through, spend the extra money and get the right upgrade for your Horizon Hobby products

Ran for about 20 mins in the backyard thru some mud and over small bricks. Brought it in changed the battery and as soon as I plugged it in it shot sparks off the motor. Ran fine up to that point don't k ow if it was a bad motor or what definitely not trying another though

Works very good but does not have the super slow low speed that the Hobbywing 2300 Fusion Pro has nor does it have as many items you can program. Needless it is still an excellent motor/esc combo that is in the top percentile.

Put this in my traxxas trx4 and couldn’t be happier. Should have bought another for my other truck though lol. Super easy to install and set up !
