This is the electrical box my hubby put up so we could safely turn off my kiln circuit when we are not using it. He successfully wired to the circuit without any major name calling or injuries fingers. We tested the setup and found it functional for our needs. I am impressed with the quality and only wish it was prettier than gun metal gray. Good product for fair price

If you're an electrician you probably know all about these, to include the fact that it doesn't come with fuses. I'm not an electrician; I only know what I read. That's the main reason I chose this as a disconnect for my new air compressor. The description led me to believe that it came with fuses, but after I found it didn't, I figured out why. It's so the end user can select the type of fuse he needs for the application for which it will be used. I found this out by doing more research when I got ready to buy fuses; research I should have done in the first place but took the lazy way out hoping it would come with fuses. At any rate, It was an easy install and I satisfied my inner ocd self by having it in the circuit as all the real electricians said was correct. It would be much easier to purchase if I needed another one, which I probably never will. Yes, I know that I probably could have gone with a 30 amp box, but I did mention my ocd, didn't I?

Punch out only up to 1 1/4 so had to disassemble to put larger knock out in for 2”. The lugs are very close to top of box so difficult to get the #2 aluminum into lugs with out some extra time if the “guts” were moved down in box an inch it would have been an easy install.
