This is an amazing guitar for the price. Plays smooth and easy to fret right out of the box. One of the lower frets needs a touch of filing. For the price you cannot find better craftsmanship or playability. It is a well carved masterpiece that looks and plays well above the price point.

I've been playing this guitar for a few weeks now, so I put it through alot before I write a review. I love it! the vol/tone knobs work well with swells. The tone is great. sounds awesome clean and with overdrive and distortion. Great clearity. I played soft songs, rock, punk and ska, This guitar can be jazzy, blues, or one heck of a rocker. Its like a stat in some ways but like a les paul in other ways. It is Beautiful to look at, It sounds amazing, and I love it! Don't let the word "Squire" discourage you, this guitar Kills!

I'm not a guitarist or music professional, so I can't judge this guitar by any means besides how much I enjoy playing with it. By that metric, the Starcaster is a beautiful guitar. I like being able to play it acoustically for practice without annoying my neighbors. I like being able to crank it through some ancient pairs of headphones to simulate fuzz and static. I also enjoy its broader frets and its larger body as a beginner, since it's a little less severe about fingering errors than its smaller counterparts.Probably my only problem is the fact it isn't the best at keeping in tune, especially over longer periods of play. Maybe that's a user error thing (again I'm not a professional), but I always find myself having to adjust things every time I pick it up just to find the tuning again (and not hurt my ears playing the chords). Besides that, it's a beautiful and fun instrument, though, so I don't really mind the persistent tuning too much at the end of the day.

I paid $210 for this. Out of the box it plays great. Fit and finish are excellent. You won’t be disappointed at this price, whether a beginner or a seasoned pro.

Beautiful guitar but poor quality/disappointing especially for a Fender brand. Terrible feedback/static, and tuning pegs are cheap/don’t lock, so guitar won’t stay tuned even after pro setup. We were advised to replace the pegs with good ones ($80), which doesn’t seem right for a brand new guitar—shouldn’t start out needing to replace parts just to be able to play and get good sound. Returned. 😞

This guitar is beautiful!!! Extremely pretty for the price. The model I got however was awful, extremely poor construction. Not only cosmetics but the neck can't be played. See the pictures!These are all the issues I found:- Frets are lifting from the fretboard! At least 5 are lifting, with 2 creating significant fretbuzz. I discovered this while setting the action low, can't be done, can't be played! Worse thing is they tried to mask by filling the frets, some are super flat already.-The F holes finish is awful, there are chunks of the white paint. I wasn't expecting a nice finish but this is just a bad job. This could be fixed and I don't think any guitar below $500 will have a properly finished F holes, but this is too much.-Neck pocket finish isn't properly finished.Also note that the black binding isn't a real binding, it is just paint. Looks nice tho!This is my first time buying a guitar online, this one is out of stock at my local shops. Overall nice guitar, I will return this one and order another one to see if I have better luck.

Great right out of the box. I just had to adjust the action. It was a bit low for my liking. The guitar looks fabulous!

Als Gitarrenlehrer im Ruhestand hat mich diese Gitarre, sowohl was Verarbeitung, Haptik und auch Spielbarkeit angeht, sehr positiv überrascht. Klare Kaufempfehlung für anspuchsvolle Einsteiger mit schmalem Budget! Leider war der Korpus ein wenig zu groß für meine Schülerin und Amazon hat die Rücksendung, wie immer, in kürzester Zeit bearbeitet! Vielen Dank dafür auch an Amazon!.

La construcción es buena, el tacto es impecable, buena respuesta armónica, las pastillas ofrecen una amplia gama de posibilidades y la forma del cuerpo es muy cómoda, además, estéticamente es preciosa y bonita de ver, el blanco es un poco más opaco que en las fotos pero no le quita ni un solo punto de apariencia, a mi gusto es maravilloso, es ligera y muy cómoda, la recomiendo totalmente. φ

Just fantastic packing and the unboxing experience was rare. I had seen an unboxing video of the same guitar (of USA) a day back and this guitar came packed just the same way.The sound quality has a hollow timbre to it, just awesome. Coming from a background of $50 guitar, this is the third guitar bought, it's just fantastic.I can rumble the bends and echo the push & pulls. I think I will play blues on this Fender and I am done for 2 years of swag.The minute I got the hollow sound, I knew I had a new experience.
