I’ve bought several utensils from Amazon to use for crab legs. Don’t waste your money on the others. These work best!

The handles are rather small in diameter and tend to hurt your hands after using them for a while. The main problem is that they will not hold the nuts to be cracked. Obviously they were never tested before being put into production. The grooves that hold the nuts are so shallow that they will not grasp and hold nuts of any size. It is difficult to crack any nut larger than a filbert. They have a lot of problems holding an almond which is relatively easy to crack. When pressure is applied to crack the nut, it slides out of the shallow groves and out of the holder. In order to use this nut cracker, the nut has to be held in place with your hand to keep it from sliding out. Buying this product is a waste of money.
