Brought back my reverse lights on my 98 Jeep Wrangler TJ !!!, I was also replacing shifter to the B&M short throw, so it was much easier to install with shifter out and access from top to plug wire harness in.

Reverse lights weren’t working and found the wires were tore up and ordered this, was a little tight to get to and disconnect and unscrew. Have a plate covering up that area and once I got it loose plugging it back in was tricky. If it was open to get to it would have taken me about 15 minuets to do

1994 Jeep Wrangler YJ 4x4 Manual had issues with the reverse lights not working after a transmission repair. Turns out the cables was cut while it was being repaired. Simple replacement just do it really fast or you will have to refill your transmission fluid LOL.

Very common repair on a Jeep YJ or TJ is to replace this switch. Not a hard job but the connector is hard to reach. Good price and seems to be good quality.

The reverse lights in my 98 Jeep Wrangler stopped working. I learned from a forum that I probably had a bad backup switch. I bought this item for $35 in used-almost new condition. It must have been a return because it looked new and arrived in the manufacturer's packaging. I installed the switch and my reverse lights work again! I'm sure I saved big money by not bringing the Jeep to a mechanic.
