Much easier to pull heavy duty staples from my upholstered dining room chairs with this device. Then I used a dull wire cutter to pull the rest of the staple out. Made the job go much faster.

I am so glad I bought this stapler remover instead of the slightly cheaper alternative because I’d knew I’d need something with a very sharp tip to pry off the staple gun staples from the dining chair seats that I want to reupholster. It took some time because there were so many staples but this simple little tool made it so much easier than trying to remove them with a butter knife or flat screw driver. Sharp, strong, and easy to use. I definitely recommend buying!

I’ve never seen staples so tight to the surface as the ones on the seat cushion bottoms that I was trying to remove. After nothing in the entire house worked, I ordered this tool. The tool can get in the tightest spots so the staples can be removed. While it is a timesaver, that isn’t the main benefit. If the staples can’t be removed, other options would be less appealing and might result in a lower quality result.

This tool was perfect for removing the staples on the chair we were reupholstered. There are six chairs, and it has probably saved a couple hours, and a lot of pain over a screwdriver and fingernails.

The very first staple I tried to remove, the tips bent under and wouldn't slide under any other staples. And the black scratched off with first use

NARROW TINES PERFECT FOR NARROW STAPLESMy floating stairs had ancient carpet on both the steps and the sides(!), held fast by thousands of carpet staples that were really heavy duty and exceptionally narrow in the middle, making them a nightmare to remove. I bought so many tools trying to find something to pull them out. I spent hours, wrecked my hands on the standard carpet removal tools and some outside the box ideas. I bought this in frustration after days of struggling, and it was a game changer. A single tine on this tool was the only thing I could find small enough to get under the narrow center of these staples and strong enough to pry them out.STRONGI assumed I would break this tool, because I know I was asking a lot of it. I was using it to remove much more heavy-duty hardware than it was designed for, AND I was putting all the strain on a single tine. If it had broken, I wouldn't have even been mad--I just would have bought another one, because it was STILL the most effective tool by far. BUT IT DIDN'T BREAK. This little thing popped out hundreds of these staples easy as can be. I straight up abused this tool, and at the end of the project, it was still intact with only minor warping on the very ends of the tines.TIP: If anyone has a similar project with very narrow staples, the other tool that I found helpful was a cheap little 4-pack automotive hook and pick assortment to get the staples at angles where this tack remover couldn't get the leverage needed. I would get them started with this tool, and then use the pick with the best angle to pop it out. I couldn't get a ladder under my stairs because more stairs, so the staples in the back had to be removed by reaching through the steps and popping them off blind. Some were at bad angles too close to the wall for the tack remover to have a proper fulcrum, so these little guys were a big help.

Works great, handle could be a little better though.

Removal of staples, with this device was some what, helpful. Working on antique chair, several in difficult location. I took care to support tool, on thin cardboard to prevent damaging the refinished wood. I actually had to wedge a very thin flathead screwdriver under staples first! Tool not able to remove staples sunk flat on wood surface.
