I've been using/testing this unit for over a year now and I'm very impressed and pleased. It's got impressive performance in a compact package and runs everything I need in my work trailer from a microwave, espresso machine, small makita air compressor, mini fridge, fans, battery chargers, and lights. I can run all three high draw items simultaneously even which is MOST impressive. I used to have a 2000 watt inverter/charger unit formerly that didn't even have solar inputs and it couldn't keep up.Once you get it all setup with the right values and perimeters on the settings, (which is a little confusing to be honest) it's just set it and forget it. Super nice to just come home and plug into shore power at the end of the day and use reliable power during the next work day without thinking about it.I have been very satisfied with my Sungold 3000 watt unit and highly recommend it.

We were upgrading from a 12v system. We had a hard time even getting it started. Had to buy new battery cables and connectors because all the terminals are smaller than our 12v. Our fully charged batteries that typically last three days on our 12v lasted 6 hours with this 24v. We had a good system. Returning it and returning to our 12v inverter until I can find a goof 24v one.

Set up at greenhouse on my campsite/doghouse.I had one issue that was immediately resolved by tech support. Has been running reliably since. Over a year. Run my compressor or table saw ... solid equipment.

Perfect solar backup inverter for your money!I actually have this on 24/7 and it’s powering my deep freezer, WiFi/modem, security cameras, and sump pump for my basement. Even with all that hooked up the inverter has no issues!!I am currently running 4 x 250w 24v solar panels. They are charging my lithium-ion 24v 60ah battery. I need to up my battery storage but I didn’t think I was going to run most of my appliances on it so this is a good thing. The inverter also never loses power when switching from AC bypass to battery backup or to solar priority . I honestly love this thing. The instructions are very clear. It tells you what gauge wire you should use.The inverter is very quite even when surge power is applied.

Works well. Instructions not very clear. Power consumption is a bit high. Can't get the generator to charge batteries although they claim it can. Customer service is a pain to deal with

I’m using this with four 100 amp hour Lipo ion batteries for a battery back up system for my house minus the solar panels. I use electricity from the house to charge the batteries because I don’t care about saving money. I just need back up from my house when the power goes out here in Costa Rica.I did have a small issue when a lizard crawled inside one of the fans and flashed a error code of 21 and I contacted the company and they said the fan must be blocked so I looked inside and Sure Now. There was a baby lizard stuck inside and once I remove that it worked just fine. The switch was faulty, but the customer service for this company is over the top and they shipped me a replacement switch right away without any questions and they always responded to any issue that I’ve had. I have to say the customer service is excellent and they do care about their customers and their product.

Have had this unit for about a year now and it has performed so far. Overall it’s a solid value and I would recommend it to anyone looking to build a basic off grid 24v system. I’m using it with 2000w of panels connected in a single string, a 7.2kwh battery bank, and a backup generatorPros:-straightforward easy setup-high solar input voltage range-works reliablyCons:-limited ability to configure high and low voltage cutoff for charge and discharge-annoying beeping when using the buttons that can’t be turned off-fan is extremely loud-limited space for fitting larger/appropriate sized ring connectors for the battery cablesNon of these cons are deal breakers, especially given its simplicity and reliability. Once setup, I’ve basically been able to just ignore it and let it do its job. Fortunately I was able to configure settings more usefully via my battery’s BMS and monitor everything via Bluetooth that way.

Update.. now charging with a mppt to get the voltage up to 32.5v because over voltageprotection it at 33v! .... wrong . No mater what setting i select i it trips the over voltage protection at 32.4 v and now i cant discharge the batterys to not trip the over voltage protection the battery actual voltage of the battery is only 32.2v! Seriously just buy a victron sales support is about like sending smoke signals, takes forever. But i bought this inverter because it says charging voltage is up to 33v from sungold themselves, but you can't charger over 31.6v witch would be fine for my application but the actual voltage is 31.39v yes I'm technically not using a 24v battery but I'm well within the voltage parameters, after doing some research I geuss I'm not alone it being disappointed from voltage being off and not performing to its specifications. I started this project a good month and a half after I received the inverter so I'm outside the return window. Save yourself the headache and stear clear of sungold. I should have just got a victron in the first place.
