Installation Steps
Place the soft roof racks in the proper position on the car's roof. Pay attention to the distance between the two racks, not too close or too far.
Pass the straps of the racks through the car's roof. Tighten the strap at one end and the buckle at the other end in the car.
Put your cargo onto the racks. Use the provided straps to pass through the daisy chain. Throw the extra straps to the other side of the car.
Pass the straps through the metal buckle. Tighten the straps until your cargo stays secure on your car roof.

The rack works great!! Travelled the highway at 65-70mph for about an hour. Rock solid with a 9'10 surfboard on top. All straps inside & on the roof held tight. Installation was easy with straps through the front and back doors. Roof strap retention loops held the extra rooftop strap secure. The neoprene pockets for the inside straps were very handy to wind up & store the extra length of strap and didn't block rear view vision. Rack and board were very stable. I've tried others in the past & the Thurso Surf rack performed the best. Definitely recommend it!

I appreciate the quality of the product and the overall design. It is very practical for me since I don’t have a car with racks, and I like to bring my paddle home to wash it off instead of deflating on site… I would recommend this product to anyone!

Super easy to install this. Simply place down the pads where you want them (we needed to move them further apart after getting the kayak up there to make sure we weren't denting the hood of the car with the weight of the kayak), loop the straps through the car and tighten them really well so the pads don't wiggle wiggle they hold, and then put on your vessel and strap er down with the provided straps through the loops on top of the pads. Easy peasy! Held well on a 75 MPR test!

I have a Nissan Rogue and it has side rails on the roof but not a cross rial. I have two kayaks and needed to transport them to the beach etc. I'm not going far so a simple solution is what I was looking for. Overall I was happy with the product and managed to fit them the bag was helpful for day to day storage.As an occasional use it was good, I think if I needed something for more than that id upgrade to a more permanent fitting but overall I was happy with how it worked and performed.

I use this if more then one person is coming paddling or fishing with me. Sometime I find it easier to inflate my boards at home and toss them on the roof. Very secure, easy to set up and take down. I can put the mounts on and string the boards in 5-7 minutes.

I really wanted to move up to a rigid paddleboard, but I have a smaller car (VW GLI) and didn't want to drop nearly $1,000 on a roof rack and SUP attachment. After researching, I came across this solution and took the chance. Not disappointed at all - this is an amazing solution. It's sturdy and after you get over the initial anxiety, you'll see nothing will move if you install and use it correctly. My SUP weighs 28 lbs and this rack handles it with ease. Everything feels well constructed and it should last a long time. The straps are easy to manage. Once you get the hang of it, you can install it and get your board secured in 5 minutes and the removal afterwards is just as quick. I've driven 100 kph on the highway with my board with no issues. For the money, you can't beat this if you have a SUP or similar board and don't want to go with a permanent (expensive) rack. I would think it would work for a kayak, but I haven't tried it that way yet.
