Like the adjustable focus, the red lit and variable intensity, All Metal, and the alignment screws have locking nuts that keep the adjustment. So much easier to get on a target. Finally a correct image finger scope. Thanks SvBony

Needed a correct image guide scope to manually track orbiting objects with a telescope that didn't have a 90 degree eyepiece. This is exactly what I was looking for, and the parallax adjustment feature that I hadn't noticed when I ordered it, makes it 10 times better for my needs. I wouldn't use it to auto guide, but it's perfect for chasing down the Space Station by hand if that's what you into.

Let me start by saying that I had no issues with the finderscope itself. The scope's optics are bright and clear and the unit appears to be well built. The issue that I encountered was with the mounting bracket. I tried this setup on two different telescopes, each one with the Vixen/Synta style dovetail plate. One telescope is a Stellarvue with their factory dovetail and the other is an Explore Scientific, whose original dovetail base was replaced with a Svbony universal style base. In both instances, the finderscope bracket would not fit into either base -- it was approximately 2mm too wide. Remember -- one of the bases was a Svbony-branded product.I contacted Svbony and they tried one of their in-house samples with a couple of bases. It fit one base and was a tight fit that required removing the locking thumbscrews on their universal-style base (one of the bases that I own). Their suggestion was to purchase a different base. This leads me to believe that the foot of their finder brackets are manufactured to dimensions that are at the cusp of being too large and do not offer any wiggle room for variations in manufacturing on either Svbony's end or from other products that adhere to the Vixen/Synta dovetail design.If you choose to purchase this finder, be prepared to take a flat file to the foot of the finder bracket or purchase a different base, and go through the merry-go-round of exchanging bases with no guarantee that the finder will fit without modification. Since I did not feel that the end user should have to take a file/sander/Dremel tool to the finder bracket in order to make it fit, I opted to return the finder and go down a different road.

When you want a straight through finder without the image reversed in both axes and an illuminated reticle, this is perfect. Well made and up to the task. Quite a bit cheaper than other similar spec finders too.Very happy.

I found there was a bit of a learning curve to be able to focus the view but I was able to master it. Once the finder is set in it’s cradle it doesn’t move. The view in the eyepiece has a circle in the middle which doesn’t block the object. This finder is a definite keeper.
