Like the title said it works quite well and is very accurate. Takes no time to setup and even less to align it. Price is great too! Definitely recommend if you plan to do solar photos or view the sun. Just make sure you use a proper solar filter! Never look directly at the sun!

3D printed, this works reasonable well as a solar finder scope, and at a price less than most other solar finders.I greatly appreciate the Synta dovetail foot that fits (snugly) with the very common (but not universal) finder base. It could be improved by reducing the width by 1-2 mm.The adjustment knobs for up/down and left/right alignment have limited deflection and there is intrinsic slop in the axes. In the end, it is possible to achieve an alignment that is "close enough".Don't expect this to be as precise or well made as the much more expensive brothers, but realistically it will be all that you need for solar alignment.

I purchased this product Because it seemed it was reasonably priced. After trying to mount it, I realize the amount is made for a larger base. I tried to buy an adapter, but couldn’t find one that works. In the end, I took the mount off and just attached the finder with a hair tie. It works, But I’d rather have one that could be mounted.

This little gadget works great. Easy to adjust the sun onto the little white screen with the knurled wheels and it shows up in the eyepiece perfectly once the sun finder is adjusted. Love it.

Works very well. I attached it to a small refractor on an equatorial mount. I attached a solar filter to the telescope and then an astro-camera connected to a laptop. My goal was to show a small group of adult science enthusiasts some sunspots. The solar finder worked flawlessly. The fact that it includes horizontal and vertical alignment thumbscrews was particiualrly welcome. Using these, I was able to get the finder aligned perfectly with the main scope. I didn't perform a polar alignment of the mount, so I need to occasionally adjust the telescope orientation with the hand controler. It was an easy process: with the help of the solar finder, I simply had to center the bright dot of the sun on the target within the finder, and viola - everything was perrect.The mounting base of the finder is a little bit wideder and tighter than the base of some other finder-shoe accessories I have, and it could make for a frustratingly tight fit for some, IMO. I believe a slight modification to the width of the base would perfect this otherwise quite impressive gadget.Highly recommended.

This product works as stated. I recommend this for anyone trying to view the sun of course along with a sun filter for your telescope
