The rail allows the user to decide where their scope will be mounted since there are numerous slots and it will accept Picatinny and most Weaver-style rings. This base is for shooting at longer distances.

The scope base fit perfectly and the included Torx style screws allow for those, like me, who like to use a torque wrench to ensure a secure and solid fitment. I highly recommend the Talley Picatinny base for hunters and sport shooters!
