Worked great. Very easy install. Prevented a new ladder purchase. Just clamp the sections of the ladder ends butted together. Then install the hinges with the pivot point hanging off the back and the center of the hinge directly between the sections. Put a couple short screws in and test for operation. If all works well drill holes and install the hardware. It’s not that sensitive. See the photos. The ladder is now super stable and functions perfectly.

Brackets are of good gauge steel but the hardware is junk

We have an old attic entrance with a bad ladder. I bought this to repair the week connection on it. After replacing the ladder is more stable. Save money instead of replacing the entire ladder.
