WOW! And I don't say that about many products. Have you ever found that sweet spot with an acoustic guitar strapped on? But now how do you get to the play/record buttons without moving and losing that spot? Your looking at it RIGHT HERE! It is not cheaply made either.....It's Very Nice! It is almost as nice as being in a studio with an engineer to push the buttons for you but without the cost. I ordered mine with my DP-03 so the switches can be set for different functions, I have never had this kind of convenience outside of an actual studio with an engineer. Get it you will love the convenience and will wonder how you ever did it yourself without one. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I am not affiliated with this product in any way other than being one of, I am sure many, very satisfied owners of it.

I couldn't say for sure what studios this will work with, I'm sure it's in the description but I didn't bother to look. I'm using this with a Tascam DP-24SP studio, and man, has it made things easy. It's really plug and play for what I use it to do. During playback, you can use the left and right pedal to set your start/stop points, creating your loop where you want it, and then bang the center pedal to punch in to record over a track. Makes it so super easy to go in and fix problem areas with no effort. Set up required to do this? None. I plugged it in, and ran. If this works with your Tascam and you don't have it yet, get it.

I bought the Tascam RC-3F foot switch about a month ago to use with my Tascam GB-10 Guitar & Bass Trainer/Recorder.The unit was packaged securely, so shipping shouldn't be a problem. It measures about 8 x 5 x 1.5 inches. It feels heavy for its size, even without the two required AA batteries. There's a red LED on the bottom that lights up when a switch is pressed. That's handy for testing the batteries. I haven't had to change batteries yet, but it's comforting to know that I can test them. There are 3 switches. Each is momentary, so you have to step on the switch every time you want to send a signal out. Some of the modes work around that by starting a function (say rewind) when you press the switch and then stopping when you release it. Not all do that and it's actually up to the device you connect the unit to.The integrated cable is about 12.5 feet long and has a mini jack that plugs into the GB-10. The cable seems thin to me, so I've been cautious about stressing it and walking on it. It's plenty long enough for me.The bottom of the unit has two non-skid pads. They work really well on wood and tile. I had no worries about the unit sliding away from me.My music room is carpeted and that caused a problem with the unit. It wasn't reliable because sometimes pressing on it would cause it to sink into the pile rather than close the contact switch. I haven't had that problem with my other foot switch. The solution was simple - I just put a small piece of plywood down. Not pretty, but it works.I've been using the RC-3F for about a month and I like it. It makes playing with the trainer simpler. I can push a switch with my foot and start playing immediately. Without the switch, it was a scramble after pushing play to get my hands back in position to play. The unit has been reliable. Aside from the problem with the carpets, it has been trouble free. The cable is long enough that I don't have to stand next to the amp. I can play from across the room if I want. The rest of this review is about the integration of the RC-3F with the GB-10 trainer. It raises issues with the GB-10, not with the RC-3F.As far as integration with the GB-10 trainer goes, there are problems. The "flash" function rewinds the song two seconds. If you want to go back further, you have to press the switch repeatedly. That sometimes caused the display of the GB-10 to get out of sync. The trainer works but it shows the wrong elapsed time on the song. I'd have to turn the trainer on and off to reset it. That's not a shortcoming of the switch, though, that's an issue with the trainer. The bigger problem for me is that the GB-10 won't let me assign features to the foot switch. There are five modes: effect, minutes, play, record and trainer. None of them do exactly what I'd like to do. In effect mode, the outer switches loop through the presets and the middle switch plays or stops the song. The switches in record mode start/stop the overdub, start/pause recording and stop recording. Trainer mode assigns flash, play/stop and speed change to the switches. Flash rewinds the song about two seconds each time you step on the switch. Holding the switch down will not cause it to keep skipping backwards, you have to push it once for each two seconds you want to go back. Speed toggles the playback speed from the x1 setting to your current speed setting (for example, from x1 to x0.5 and back). It will not bump the speed up or down.Play and minutes mode are similar. The switches are rewind, play and fast forward. The difference is that in minutes mode, the song only plays as long as you hold the middle switch down. Same for the rewind and forward switches.I want to repeat that these aren't problems with the RC-3F, they're problems with the GB-10. I just want to make sure that you're aware of these. And I should also say that I'm not going to give up my unit. It makes using the trainer so much easier that I'll put up with the limitations.

I bought this Foot Switch for my GB-10 Guitar/Bass Trainer. It works exactly as described in my GB-10 owner's manual. It's a great option. The review by One Sad TIVO Monkey is excellent, so no need to restate that review. One exception, when in TRAINER mode, the foot switch will "Flash" back the file music how ever many seconds you set on the GB-10. On the GB-10, you can set "Flash" to 1-10. I set my GB-10 to flash back 10 seconds. It works great. The only problem I had is that if you try quickly tapping the "Flash" for a number of times, you end up locking up the GB-10 trainer, requiring a file restart on the GB-10 itself. The obvious answer is to use the PLAY (Default) mode instead, where you press and hold the rewind button on the foot switch and work yourself backwards for however long you want.I agree that it would be nice to program the features we want the foot switch to trigger. Each programmed mode option for the foot switch on the GB-10 has advantages - and disadvantages. But that's a shortcoming of the trainer, not the foot switch itself.

Pedal is worth it, to be able to start recording with hands being free. You can adjust the functions it will control, from the settings section of the recorder, which is nice. Connector is small and the jack of the recordèr seems a little weak for my taste.

Overall this is a heavy duty, very well constructed foot controller. This is constructed with a metal base, and heavy rubber pedal covering. Switches are silent contact, and very consistent. I have it configured through the portastudio in default settings with the right pedal as START/STOP, left pedal as REWIND TO MARK, and the centre for PUNCH-IN. cable is nice and long. After using for a month, I don't know how I could operate a DP24 without it. If I were to make one improvement it would be to have a right angle plug rather than a straight plug as it comes out of the 24 on the front edge, so I run it under the portastudio (maybe the real improvement is to have the switch jack come off the back of the portastudio!)

Excellent item. If you use a tascam D3200 you really do need this, it makes functions much easier to use. The ability to assign functions to the pedal is brilliant, being to reset the functions at the push of a button to make what you are doing so much easier.

Saludos.!
