About this item

  • LARGE DISPLAY: Oversized 2” LCD display shows the min/max temperatures, current temperature, and battery level for at-a-glance viewing.

  • FUNCTIONAL DESIGN: Thermometer has a removeable suction cup or a clip to find the most convenient place in your appliance for placement.
  • HIGHLY ACCURATE: Temperature range: -4°F to 140°F/-20°C to 60°C.

  • BATTERY INCLUDED: Operates on one CR2032 battery (included).

Proper storage temperatures of meats, dairy and produce are very important. An appliance thermometer helps ensure ideal temperatures are held promoting less spoliage. The Taylor Digital Fridge/Freezer Thermometer has an extra-large LCD readout with the min/max temperatures recorded so you can easily monitor temperature changes and make adjustments to your appliance as necessary. If the refrigerator/freezer is too warm, food may spoil; if it is too cold, electricity is getting overused. For easy reference, Safe Zones are printed directly on the thermometer body. The thermometer has a convenient clip and removeable suction cup for placement in an easily viewable spot in your appliances. Thermometer reads in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. Also great for wine fridges, cellars, deep freezers, etc.

I love that it keeps track of highest and lowest temp so the while displaying current temp. It is easy to read. Works wonderfully for what I needed. I’d definitely buy more. It is way nicer than others I’ve purchased.

A few thoughts to share...LIKES:The fairly accurate large digital display is easy to read. Displayed temps varied by an acceptable range of 1-2 degrees when compared SxS with other digital and analog units. For not being an expensive piece of laboratory equipment, it proved itself to be nearly as accurate and well calibrated during my testing from 20 to 80°F. The digital readout adjusted quickly when moved from cold to hot and vice versa. Display range is stated to be (-4 F ~ +140 F).DISLIKES:The high quality Taylor branded analog dial thermometers I've had for 30+ years are still functional today simply because they are encased in metal. This unit is completely enclosed in plastic, including the hanging clip which allows you to attach it below a wire rack shelf. The first time I nicked it by placing a saucepan on to the shelf, the clip snapped in half. Cheap plastics becomes brittle in cold temps. And I can't finish this review without mentioning the CR2032 3V lithium button battery that Taylor designed into this unit. Most likely to keep it compact, but using two AAA batteries would have been more economical. Out of the box, the lithium was dead in 9 months. Current replacement cost is $3-5 ea.Wrap-Up:Overall, Taylor has a good reputation for making quality equipment and that still holds true. But in today's market, things need to be made cheaply. And with that comes cheap quality plastic in most everything we buy these days. Fortunately, Taylor didn't skimp on the internals of this unit. So even if yours does happen to break, just buy another one. Did I mention they're cheap? Thanks for reading my review. 👍🏻

Illuminated readout/display with accurate temps. Used this for approximately 1 1/2 days for a fridge that is not holding temp. You can obviously also use if having issues in freezer (we have a side by side fridge and used in the non-freezer section, only). Comes with "button" battery. You can set to C or F. You can easily suction it on a shelf, etc., (centrally located is the best for placement and an overall/accurate reading). It shows current temp and then changes as temps drop or rise and there is a display above this information that shows the lowest temperatue achieved. This is a VERY important feature! Great product at a great price. Hopefully you'll never need to purchase, but if you do, I would HIGHLY recommend this product. (Side note - 40 F is optimal temp for fridge section. We could only achieve 50 F. over 1 1/2 days) Repair/replacement service coming out this afternoon.

Exactly what I needed. I have a mini fridge with no built in thermometer. I was able to put one on the top shelf, and one on the bottom shelf for an easy way to monitor and maintain a safe temperature with just a glance. The suction cups stick well to my glass shelves, and have not come off since placing them. I love the fact that it not only shows the current temp, but also records and stores the lowest and highest temp, giving a little more peace of mind, knowing that it is staying within safe temperatures at all times. Very helpful, would buy again.

We bought three of these Taylor thermometers to monitor two freezers and a frig based on positive experience with a similar Taylor product over the years. However, the displays on the freezer thermometers started going blank after about two weeks. We removed them from the freezers and allowed them to warm up and the displays returned. This lasted until the return period expired and it happened again. It's now evolved to the point that they're blank more than working. We installed new batteries but this made no difference. They don't like the cold; Taylor junk. Buyer beware!

I really wanted this to work so I could be confident that my solar powered refrigerator in my RV had started cold. Out of the box 1 sensor read 75F (room temperature), the 2nd 77 and the 3rd 64. I switched/changed batteries and reset multiple times and always got the same readings. It was returned.

Cumple muy bien su función, pero la medida no es instantánea, cuando lo metes al refrigerador tarda minutos en llegar a la temperatura real. Al igual que cuando lo sacas tarda mucho en marcar la temperatura real.
