Your cart is empty.These adjustable clamp-on trammel heads are the perfect tool to measure, mark or scribe circles or arcs outside the range of those that could be produced with a standard compass. Unlimited arcs can be made using your custom-length shop-made beam. These heads will clamp onto any wood beam from 3/8 inch to 1-1/4 inch wide. Set comes with two trammel heads, one with an integrated pencil holder that will accept standard wooden pencils.Comes with an extra set of points. Heads are made from tough cast zinc. The points are ground sharp and hardened to allow scribing on steel, sheet metal or aluminum. Overall length is 4 inches.

This trammel is simple to use, a simple, functional design and is priced very nicely. I use the instrument to do measurements and layout when repairing old Autoharps that have surfaces that preclude using direct measurements. You can’t just lay a tape measure on it. I am delighted.Ditto this time. This was my second set.

Good set of trammels.. only draw back is the jaws are set for thin material.

The trammel heads work with just about anything I tried. Wood, metal beams work just as well. I really liked the pencil holder.

This product is sturdy and well finished and should last a lifetime. It can do everything that more expensive tools can do and do them just as well as the others.

These are poor quality trammel points. I can’t get the pencil to hold tight without moving. I tightened it down as best as I can and have tried using different types of pencils. Regardless of round or hexagonal, they don’t hold. Find a different brand as these are not accurate due to pencil not remaining snug.

You'll have to provide the "beam", but just a simple piece of hardwood worked for me.

Good for small projects. Used it to make 18 inch circle on plywood
