Good quality TDS meter and value for the money. I use a pitcher water filter and like to know when I need to change the filter so this is just what I needed. It comes in a really nice little pouch.

I knew I lived in a hard water location but I didn't realize it is that hard. The reading is from my city's water supply. The scale on the back of the meter states that 100+ is hard water. I am surprised we don't have rocks coming out of our faucet.My steam-distilled water reads 7, which I thought was interesting... I wonder what rain water would be? I guess I will have to wait on that.

I refuse to drink 'street water' pumped through filthy pipes and filled with numerous toxins, and, instead, purchase gallons of purified water. This little device easily tells me how pure it is and that's very important to me and to my Monarch caterpillars when raising them.
