I use this for my violin because I strongly dislike most violin chinrests. It fits perfectly on my full size violin; the part which is supposed to hover over the tailpiece is to low. But I moved the chinrest over slightly and it works just fine. If you're looking to play violin without a SHOULDER rest, this rest is perfect for posture and ease of playing (of course depending on your neck length, arm length, finger length and your overall personal opinion/comfort). Product was all in one piece; brand new looking; wrapped safely in bubble plastic. Excellent product, and excellent seller. Will purchase from again.

Just received it and it is a much better fit for my jaw than the default Guarneri chin rest that my viola came with. It doesn't hurt to play anymore and it feels much more comfortable.

This is such an improvement to the legacy Guarneri rest I had, as it fits more to my jawline. The material's finish is very smooth and non-absorbent, however. Moisture tends to increase, and I find I have to wipe it down periodically, but not frequently enough to disrupt practicing. Was a bit uncomfortable against the razor burn on my neck, but we can hardly blame anyone here for that. The clamp came with the cork lining, and installation was a sinch. As my skill develops, I will be probably be needing a new chinrest, and this seller will be the first place I look.

Much more comfortable than the chin rest that came with my viola. It works well with my shoulder rest. More comfort means more control. Shipped quick and came in great shape. Thanks!
