Your cart is empty.Tekton L-Keys are made with 8660 nickel chromium molybdenum steel that's heat-treated to HRC 54-58 to produce tools that are hard, but not brittle. As a result, the maximum torque of the L-keys consistently exceeds the ASME standards for minimum torsion load and the ISO standards for minimum proof torque. The L-keys are coated with a durable manganese phosphate finish that’s resistant to corrosion. With the exception of the smallest sizes, L-key sizes are marked in two ways–both with a high-visibility laser marking and a stamped marking.

The Tekton 7mm hex key is what I needed for brake work on my Ford Focus ST. The two bolts holding the brake calipers require a 7mm hex key for removal. The 7mm was not available on any of my hex key sets, so I needed to purchase this separately. The Tekton hex key is about 7-3/8" long and provides enough leverage to remove and tighten the bolt. The product is well-made and sturdy for its purposes. Rated 5-stars.
