I use this with my lava lamps (i own two) to turn them on and off automatically. It's not good to leave them on constantly, and this way i can have it running during the times of day when I'm likely home to see them.I run it for a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the evening (basically when I'm getting up and coming home)

This timer is user friendly – it is easy to set, and easy to use. However, it is bulkier than my other mechanical outlet timer -- probably because of the second socket. I usually don’t run another appliance on the same timer, but when I do, I usually attach a triple tap, or a multi-tap extension cord to the timer. The cost of the tap/cord and a regular timer is about the same as this timer. I guess it’s just preference.

Best timer I've ever bought. I've had electronic ones before that supposedly had tons of fancy functions, but I could never get them to work. I use this on a grow light and it was simple to have it come on and also have a break during the day.

I have two timers for my out door low voltage lighting and one stopped turning on and off so i bought this to replace the one timer but since it has two plugs I now have both plugged in to one timer and all my lights come on and off at one time
