This timer is simple to use and very accurate. Hadn't used one of these in forever, technology over the years has improved these types of timers and this one is great.

I purchased this to use for a grow light to overwinter my plants indoors. It has a dual plug on either side so you can have to items plugged in at once if you wish. The timer has been working great. The instructions are easy to follow. Good price and good item, I would definitely recommend.

There is not a whole lot to say about these. They are simple timer switches. I needed some more for various things I have planned and do not want the items to be on all the time or have to worry about turning them on and off. I have an LED strip lights on my stairs since I have cats, and if anyone has cats, they love to sleep on the stairs during the night and then cause you to trip.The buttons on it are easy to press or pull allowing you to set when it is on or off during timer mode. They seem to function well, but we will see how they end up in the long term.If you need to have things on timers, then go for these. While at the time of this review christmas is over, it still will be next year. Perhaps you have a light you want to use to help wake you up so you want it to turn on at a certain time and then turn off when you leave the house. Or you have an electronic that you cannot quite trust to turn off and do not want to risk leaving it on? but it functions fine otherwise? Who knows.

I got this to better regulate the lights on an indoor aquarium that holds a few goldfish and some aquatic plants during the winter that, in the summer, we keep in an outdoor pond. I wanted the lights to be in long enough (about 10 hours) during the day to keep the plants thriving, but not so much such that they grow too much and crowd the rest of the tank and the fish. It’s just a timer, so there isn’t a lot of complexity to it.One of the benefits is the push-button way of setting on/off cycles. In the past, I’ve gotten mechanical timers that use plastic pins, which sometimes fall out, get lost and are generally difficult to use. The buttons here are much easier to manipulate. The other added benefit (although I don’t need it) is the ability to set multiple on/off cycles in a 24-hour period. I can imagine this would be nice for some appliances or perhaps a lamp to simulate someone at home. In the latter case, you could set it to turn on at 7pm and then off at 11pm, on again at 6am and off at 8am.Overall, this is a handy device that does what it’s supposed to do. I’ve been using it for several day/night cycles with no issues. I don’t think I’d use it for a device that approaches the amperage and wattage maximums advertised, but then again, it’s not supposed to be a heavy duty timer.

This outlet timer is going to save you a lot of hassle and heartache. This timer has dual sockets so you can have different items plugged into it. I chose this because when I come home at night it's completely dark at my place and I have to open my door in darkness. Now with this timer, I can have the lights come on just before I come home which is a plus and a game changer for me. It's easy to set up. You just set it for the time to start and the time to end and these pins are easy to push up and down. You can set the timer for 30-minute intervals a.m. or p.m and this mechanical timer can be used for so many different applications. I have also used this timer on a power strip and have plugged in different Christmas lights into it to have them all come on at once. It was the perfect solution.

Still haven't figured out how this timer works! I'm not ignorant on setting timers. I have to set a similar timer for my car's engine block heater when the temperature goes down to minus 30 degrees and colder.

There is a risk of shock if this gets wet. These should not be used outdoors or in wet areas. Just as described.

This is my review of the "Outlet Timer, 24-Hour Plug-in Mechanical Timer, 2 Grounded Electrical Light Timers Indoor with 30-Minute Intervals, Daily ON/Off Cycle, 3-Prong Plug for Aquariums, Grow Lights, ETL Listed"The item is sold in an unsealed manufacturer's box.I opened the box and tested the unit and at first, I wasn't sure if I was doing it correctly since even though I have seen these type of mechanical timers before at the hardware stores, I generally purchased the electronic ones with a digital display. I managed to configure it for the time and set it to turn on/off at a few selected times for testing since I actually planned on putting this in my garage for a trickle charger for my car (my trickle charger is rated for 0.75A so it shouldn't be an issue as this timer is rated for 15A). The test worked with my lights so I installed it in the garage and plugged in my trickle charger to it.In terms of my observations for this product, I found the pins a bit hard to set and it is difficult to tell the time (time is approximate unlike the electric timers with digital display and it is 30 minute increments unlike electric timers where you can normally set it to the minute when to turn on/off). There is an "override" which allows you to turn on it on so it doesn't use the timer and also allows you to use the timer but there is no toggle for it make it turn off regardless of the timer setting.All in all, I think that this is a good product even with the short comings that I mentioned, provided that you need to automatically toggle the electricity for the device plugged into it in 30 minute increments.
