This system is AMAZING for out-of-town watering for any animal. We have chickens, and this is the best watering solution EVER. Everything you need comes in the box. You may need a shim to level the water tank (we did). We initially used a hose, but the pressure was too high, so we switched to PVC, which worked perfectly. The product is high quality. The only downside is cleaning it, as our chickens perch on the edge and poop in it—annoying, but they do include a brush that helps. It works just like a toilet float valve and is truly awesome. We bought it to water our chickens while on vacation, and it does exactly that—simple and cost-effective. I give it a 10 out of 10.

The hardware was awful. Used my own and got these mounted in the stalls. Works great for calves.

Do yourself a favor and buy a different bowl as this does NOT fit a garden hose, leaks profusely even with plumbers tape, and if you are trying to find adapters in the US to fit the connections, they are expensive, which negates the lower cost of this product. Its absolutely horrible.

So I liked the look of these auto-refill bowls because it had the drain spout also I needed more than one bowl so I liked the price best on this double pack...HOWEVER after reading the comments I saw that the brass coupler would not work with my standard US hose that I bought at Costco or Home Depot. When I got the box I opened it up and pulled out the fittings and short hoses and confirmed that, in-fact, the hose does not attach to this coupler. I started researching as to what type of fitting would actually fit and I wound up deciding that it was most likely a pipe fitting which is also somewhat common. I bought the "Dixon 504-1212 brass fitting, adapter, GHT Female Swivel x 3/4" NPTF Male. Unfortunately the cost savings of this bowl was spent on this almost $15 coupler....however if you like quality, this brass coupler is beefy and very well made. I ordered one just incase it didn't fit and it fit! have not yet taken everything outside to set it up for the dog, goats and rabbits, but I have hope at least in this part that I can attach it to my long garden hose and at least hook one of them up asap.After hooking it all together there were leaks everywhere! So I went back out last night and sealed everything I could with the plumbers tape they sent in the box. The drain leaked, and all the attachments too. The one thing I couldn't seal is where their hose connected to their end connector, it's leaking between those. I also had to adjust the float once it was empty again so that it would shut off before the bowl started overflowing. It's still leaking some and my daughter, who gives the goats water, "hates it" and claims that it's overflowing again. I'll try fixing it at least once more before I give up.

They work well. I just thought that they had two of the float for replacement but it was a brush cleaner. The pigs and dog like having fresh water now!

Not impressed. The float valve is easy to adjust which is good because it’s always needing to be adjusted. It’s good for a day then there is a constant drip

I bought two to ensure the ferals, raccoons and other critters always have water. These come with a cleaning brush (simply swish around, dump, and it refills itself).
