The Beadsmith Stepped Plier with Interchangeable Nylon Jaws
This plier is excellent for shaping and bending wire. This tool includes 3 interchangeable jaws for creating circle, oval and square shapes. The circle makes 5mm, 8mm, 12mm and 15mm diameters. The oval forms 7x9mm, 8x10mm and 10x12mm. The square produces 5mm, 8mm, 11mm and 14mm sizes.

I bought these for my mother who does jewelry making as a hobby. She has enjoyed making so many designs and earrings and has been improving after buying this set of pliers. She is now able to make complicated necklaces and wrap wire more easily. Definitely recommend!

Great pliers. The nylon jaws work great when working with wire. Does not mar the wire. Easy to replace the tips.

Only draw back is that the nylon does mar and wear down, but it does a good job not marring the wire.

The build quality is excellent. The grip is comfortable. Good value for money. It functions well, it’s kind of a pain to take apart and use the other options.

Una de mis pinzas favoritas, de punta fina para detalles que no marca el alambre. Buena construcción, buena calidad, fácil de usar y el tamaño perfecto para mis trabajos. Me gastaba esta pinza para bisuterÃa para que no se maltratara el alambre pero al usarla se resbala asà que no me sirvió para lo que la querÃa pero llego pronto y bien gracias

I was so excited to get this tool until I unpacked it and checked all the interchangeable heads to see how they fit. The hole for my oval shaped attachment is on an angle and does not align properly on the mandrel of the pliers, which means I can't get the screw in at all (see photos).All of the interchangeable heads have room to wiggle on the mandrel it attaches to, so beware it's not 100% secured unless you screw it down very tightly.For the attachments that do fit, when you close the pliers, they don't close flush so there's a tapered gap towards the hinge of the pliers (also photographed). This would be an issue when working with thinner materials such as bezel wire as there would be zero grip with the lack of contact when using the larger steps closer towards the handle. Upon further inspection, it seems like the holes that slot in the nylon tips were all drilled at a slight angle so they're not straight when you close the pliers. Most likely a manufacturer's defect. The item also arrived with some rust that I was able to clean off.It's a great idea, but the manufacturer could use some more attention to detail. The great thing about nylon tips is that it doesn't leave marks when bending metal, just be careful not to let the screws at the top make contact with your work because they are just ever so slightly larger than the minimum circumference of the tips of the nylon bits. There's a potential DIY fix by grinding down the screw heads or swapping them for smaller screw heads with the same gauge threads; but honestly I feel like the product should come with the proper screw size.I appreciate that these come with a screwdriver to change out the tips. These could be used to as wire straighteners but I wouldn't recommend it since it doesn't seem like this company sells replacement tips. Overall, I think they came close but still missed the mark with this one.

Too much nylon and not enough metal - anything you could shape with these you could probably do with your fingers
