While I can't prove that someone has been helping themselves to my water faucets lately, I had reason to believe that someone has been there before. I live in a wooded area, and I'm pretty certain that the small, woodland, critters that wander about are not the culprits. Although, that would be fun to see when I walk out in the morning and see a deer chugging from the faucet while rabbits, and squirrels, gather at the puddle beneath it as well. Even still, I needed to do something about it. This faucet lock is awesome with its simplicity, yet functionality. It has a low-profile silhouette that is more aesthetic to look at than its bulkier counterparts. After screwing the lock in place, and turning the key, that's it! You don't need to do anything else. While the key is set in place, the lock just spins on the faucet which prevents anyone, or anything, from getting to it now. And when I need to get water from it, just turn the key to the open position, and I can remove the lock for use. Another great feature of this lock is that while it's on, if someone, or something, were to turn the faucet on, this lock also has a seal on it to prevent any water from leaking out. With this lock in place, it has provided me with peace of mind on what is happening with my outdoor faucets. I love having this lock with me as it protects my faucets!

I manage public school gardens and during the summers, folks in the neighborhood had taken to using the space as a dog park. Others would use the water to fool around, and I'm sure, beat the summer heat. However, it also invited dog poo and other mischief. This year, we had some grant money and planned to make the water inaccessible when it's not being used for the garden. None of the other types of hose locks or faucet locks worked for the setup we have. These locks are quite expensive, but absolutely worth it. They don't leak even if there is pressure in the line. They lock and unlock easily for the most part, and they WORK.

I hardly leave my property, I left a few days ago to go eat out and have a good time. Well my good time was ruined by the water bib fully opened the water had ran a good 400 yards. Now I have to deal with a huge bill and the expense of purchasing this lock. Works great by the way at least for now. Time will tell on the durability and weather resistance.

I had a problem, on weekends certain individuals would drive on the back side of my office and use my water faucet and run a car wash skim. It took me a while and I had to set up camera's to catch them. My water bill for have a couple of toilets and a coffee pot in my office was running extremely high.I add three of these to my three outlet and monthly costs dropped massively. I guess they were stealing a large amount of water every weekend. These are easy to use, understand the lock, you will need to find where the outside locking piece will catch with the inside piece to screw on, then the lock will remove the contact point so the outside just spins. no way to remove the cap, just make sure that you install it tightly before putting into the lock position so you cannot spin it off. I have used these for over 10 yrs now. I just finally replace my old ones for a set of new one, not because they did not work, but we were down to just one key, we seemed to have lost the other when allowing contractor to use and them not being returned. So I purchased 5 locks for 3 faucets and have another 10 keys. These are all keyed alike.I highly recommend these well built locks, solid brass. These are a great value.

This isn’t a big ugly device that covers the handle. It’s a nice looking lock that just goes on the bib. Easy to use. No issues. I hate that my hose bib is out in front of the house. But I got this lock when the neighbors had their water shut off so no one can steal my water

At my warehouse/office, we had homeless people using our spigot for a shower after hours. If they would have cleaned up after themselves, no one would know they were there. But they left garbage everywhere. So I had to lock up the spigot. Works great.

I did not realize people were so low as to steal other person’s water, off of a residence they do not own, rent, or live in. The water theft was happening at obscure hours when I guess they knew everyone were asleep or school or at work. It was causing our water bill to spike dramatically, and we knew we had no leaks. These faucet locks have been a heaven send. It was slightly tricky to figure out at first but I read a few of the other reviews and that helped me troubleshoot. The lock is on and no one is getting anymore water they aren’t helping pay for! Sadly life is too expensive right now to not worry about water theft. It looks nice, it’s not huge or bulky or attention grabbing. I like that it cannot just be pulled off or twisted off once it’s locked appropriately. Two locks for $40 + tax also fit the budget well; one for the non fenced in spigot and one for the fenced in spigot.Time will tell if it’s rust resistant; multiple other reviews say it is!
