I had previously purchased this and really enjoyed using it. It was installed on a spigot that isn't used often but I would find myself using it more because of the ease of use this bib brings. So when the chance to put another in came up, I jumped right on it and ordered this one again. It turns so easily. Doesn’t leak! Very durable functions better than anticipated. Great product, pricey but worth it. Looks nice as well!

I installed a full turn Prier faucet in one location a few years ago and was pleased to find these quarter turn faucets when I was ready to upgrade two other outdoor faucets. So far they are working well, and I prefer the quarter turn over the full turn, though both function well.

So far so good. I like the 1/4 turn to go from closed to fully open. While the faucet works fine you need to hire a professional to do the install unless you are a really good DIY'r. I live in the south and this faucet is too short for a standard brick wall with 2x4 studs. I got lucky and found a female to male adapter that effectively extended this faucet another 1/2" to 3/4". I tried the 6" long frost free faucet and it is too long and shortening this thing isn't an option. If you decide to use this 4-1/2" version in a standard 2x4 stud wall with brick exterior you will either have to cut the wall open from the inside to reposition the plumbing or you will have to modify the length of this faucet so it will work. I found an extension/adapter fitting at McMaster: http://www.mcmaster.com/#50785k31/=10mxgoiThis fitting screws on but it needs to be soldered after screwing it on. This requires steel bristle brush, Flux, Solder, and Torch. The reason you want to solder this is in case in the future you need to remove this fixture and reinstall your old one. You risk having the adapter/extension you screwed onto the end of this faucet stay in the wall. By soldering it to the fixture you guarantee that it comes out with the fixture and you guarantee it never leaks at that connection. Before you can solder that fitting onto the end of this faucet you have to disassemble the faucet. It has delicate rubber seals inside that will melt if you try soldering the adapter/extension on without disassembling first. For most people this isn't a DIY job and it could cost you thousands of dollars in damages to your house if you screw it up.BUT! This is an excellent faucet for a professional or a very experienced DIY'r.

bad casting, leaks below the stem out the actual casting. Antisiphon is failing already and pops off if the hose is kinked or has a nozzle that creates any backpressure. I now either have to rip off brand new siding or cut into a brand new drywall job to replace this piece of garbage.

When I received the valve, I turned the 1/4 turn handle to open and blew into the end. No air wasn't going through in the open position. I thought I had a defective unit. I then hooked up a temporary water line and the water did flow with no problem. Maybe the Anti-Siphon feature was in locked position? After that the valve works great and I love the 1/4 turn workings.
