I bought this when I purchased a TV hanger. I needed something to find the studs in my apartment. It definitely works great, it is also very sturdy. I even dropped it a couple of times and there were no signs of that and it did not break or crack at all. I would highly recommend this product. Works great and easy to use. I also believe it was a little cheaper than my local stores.

This is a magnet, meaning that it will find the nails that keep your stud in place. Find the nail, then you find the stud. Don't be confused about what this can do. I've used this to mount a TV and perform several other house projects, here are my tips/thoughts:1. Studs run up and down the wall and are normally spaced 16 or 24 inches apart. When the magnetic stud finder connects with a nail, make sure it is vertical to the ground in order to get a better visual of house the stud is running through your wall.2. It's a strong magnet so there shouldn't be any issues finding the nails, but just remember that you should REALLY feel the magnetic pull. I take the stud finder in one hand and "wipe" the wall like I'm cleaning a large window. It should lurch in place, and you shouldn't be thinking "I think that's it", you will know.3. Value for money is great, ease of use is great. Accuracy takes some getting used to, but after I put the first couple screws in for my TV mount, I got a lot more confident and haven't missed the stud yet.

A good stud finder that's easy to use and it works! My electrician put me on to this stud finder and he was right.

Hubby has been knocking on walls for nearly 50 years without missing a stud. However, in our current home he had his first miss, and I ordered this gadget after researching the frustrations with electronic stud finders. Since this was my 'honey do' request and I was curious, I found a stud, and moved stud to stud across the wall until I reached the correct one. Left the finder on the wall for hubby to take over. Very easy to use, strong magnetic grip, lightweight.

This works great if it’s a newer house with drywall that was hung with screws. I tried it on a closet in my house that was hung with nails, built in the 70’s, and this couldn’t find anything. Overall I still like it but it will only work in about 50% of the house.

Genuinely simple product that works. Used it to find studs behind drywall to hang flat screen TV. No battery required. No hit and miss. Just a simple magnet that finds every nail in the wall.

After trying multiple digital devices from the local hardware store (which either did not work or broke quickly), decided to try the old school way. These are just so much better! Would recommend to anyone trying to find studs in their drywall!

I didn't wanna buy an expensive electric stud finder, and I found the Stud Buddy.Easy to use and easily finds the stud. We used it to put our TV mount up.The magnets pick up the nails and it sticks to the wall, allowing you to find the stud easily.

Bonjour ,Électricien de métier et devant faire un paquet de trou a la scie cloche afin de mettre en place spot ou appareillages en tout genre , ce petit outil bien pensé et devenue indispensable pour moi .Il m'aide à trouver montants et rail placo afin de m'éviter de tapper dedans en perçant . Honnêtement il m'a déjà rendu pas mal de services. On gagne en temps , en efficacité et on évite de déplacer les collègues peintre ou plaquiste quand on tappe dans un montant ou un rail , je recommande les yeux fermés . En plus il est beaucoup moins cher ( 2x moins cher ) que l'aimant rond de base et a exactement la même fonction !Prenez soin de vous .Armand
