I wasn't sure about these but I have read about the ihs bending issues with AM5 (and some of the newer intel chips) so when I got my 9800x3d I figured I'd try to avoid ruining an $800 chip by bending it.The thing looks great (I went with the red option) and fits into the place of the old cpu mounting bracket perfectly. I can imagine there might be some cooler compatibility issues with edge cases but I have not had any. It's built really well, at least as well as a single machined piece of aluminum can be. It doesn't seem to impact cooling negatively or positively in my experience as it doesn't really interface with the coolers it goes around the chip to keep an even pressure around all edges to prevent bending.Definitely worth it for peace of mind if you have an expensive chip that you want to know isn't going to bend.

Perfect fit and an easy install. Looks great on the MB, although the AIO will be hiding it.

You gotta get this for your build. It's inexpensive and beneficial for proper cooling. Plus it is extremely satisfying and incredibly easy to place this over your CPU. It fits like a jig saw puzzle piece lol. It also makes the build look clean and refined. I'd probably wouldn't use that thermal paste that is included but it doesn't hurt to have it if your in a pinch.

Easy to place. Just take off the hinge and place this on top of cpu. Nice and secure. Does not affect cpu cooler connection at all. Great for not having cpu bend since it covers all sides.

I don't think these improved the cooling performance of my headsinks much, but I do like that it makes cleaning up thermal paste easier if I ever have to replace them in the future.

I always look for the best cooling components for my home built PC's. My location is northern NM, elevation 7,150 Ft. Humidity very low (some times single digit). This makes cooling a critical aspect when upgrading parts which can generate heat. So using a metallic thermal grease has been a standard for years, it's conductive so you don't want any chance of it touching electrical exposed parts, Like on my Ryzen 5 7600x CPU. This CPU Holder fits directly around the CPU to reduce the chance of thermal grease from reaching the exposed electrical components on the AMD CPU - see pic. Some people put clear nail polish on the metal parts but I have an uneasy feeling about that ( I have been a repair tech for 40+ years ). I would have used the nail polish if someone had not created this metal cpu block - so cheap. I would recommend to a friend.

It's not needed but it looks nice and blocks most excess paste from going down to the socket. Easy to install.

Facil de instalar, inlcuye pasta termica y la herramineta para cambarlo, incluso los tornillos. La temperatura bajo unos 5 grados en general en full load o en reposo. Aparte qe te facilita mucho el poner la pasta térmica, a futuro te será más facÃl cambiar la pasta térmica ya que no se va a chorrear por los lados, vale la pena por el precio.
