Great! Easy to use, accurate and can be calibrated! A great value because thermistors are fast and only have to have the tip in the liquid being measured, while an old-fashioned thermometer has to have at least 1/2†to be accurate, and takes longer to read the temperature. Magnet lets me keep it right on the fridge, so I don’t have to open the drawer to find it. Turns on when you open it, so you’re not fiddling with buttons when you’re in a hurry to check a sauce. Performs like a champ, and the battery lasts a long time.

While maybe not as "high speed" as the top names in instant read thermometers, this instant read probe is more than what I need as a home chef. Super sharp probe with a fast readings whether I'm checking a roasted chicken in the oven I'm serving for dinner, or giving the green light to multiple pork butts and whole chickens coming off my smoker. It costs least than the high end models but I feel it is just as accurate,, albeit maybe not as fast. I have never worried to within thousands of seconds if something is done or not. With that said, it has a calibration function which I found absolutely amazing. I followed the instructions, calibrated my unit, and have never looked back wondering if I had made a good choice. When doing a lot of hens or pork butts, I always checks what my meter block probs are telling me and I am always on target. I would recommend this thermal prob, I feel it delivers professional grade performance at a fraction what profession grade equipment costs

I wanted an instant read food thermometer without paying an arm and a leg. This is a great option if you're good with a 2-4 second read time, instead of the truly instant read upgraded model. Decent price point, a handy temperature guide on the back, magnets for holding it to the fridge or the "stainless" panels on my older Weber Spirit grill, and reads temps quickly enough for me.

I loke this thermometer very much. Large, easy to read display. Reads temperature instantly. Long probe. Purchased two, one for home one for camp. Not disappointed.A word of caution. It is not waterproof as the brochure and packaging says. Found this out when I threw it in the sink after my first use. Took it out of the sink and the display was fogged and the numbers were wonky. Took the battery cover off, removed the battery, and set it on top of my furnace overnight. All was good the next day. This unit is IP65 rated which means "the product has the highest level of dust protection, and is able to withstand low-pressure water jets from all directions. You cannot submerge products that carry an IP65 rating and maintain their protections. Sometimes manufacturers will claim their device is water resistant but they have not performed the IEC testing to the standard".I would have given this a five star rating if the product literature had said water resistant, not "Waterproof",

I like the size and easy-readibility of the display and the response time seems quicker than I expected based on some reviews. The reading is almost instant.

I cook often. I use the grill often. The oven too. My hands get wet, there is condensation from cooking so this is a must have. I had a cheaper thermpro before this one but kept getting water in there so I finally bought one that's water resistant. Works great!!!! LCD is easy to read and that's required because the grill area is very sunny, and I also like to cook in the dark. Very sturdy and grippy.

The light is nice. It's extremely easy to use. Great quality still works after lots of uses. The temperature readings are very accurate. The battery lasts for a lengthy period of time.

And I have only 1 eye! But that is another write-up. I needed a new thermometer for turkey day. I also plan prime rib for Christmas, ie, need an excellent tool for great prime rib. I bought a different brand a few years ago but the battery cover didn't stay on well after I changed the battery and ona nd on. This appears to be an upgrade to the old one so I am excited about using it for the prime rib. I can see the numbers well. It measured the turkey quickly which reduced the time out of the oven. It quickly changed temperatures between different parts of the bird. We flip the bird and this cooks the turkey faster; a 10-pound bird can be done in 2 to 2.5 hours. The key is an excellent thermometer and a committed flipper. This is only part of the great bird. The second part this year was my 34-year-old daughter who took the reigns and let me watch the Barbie movie while she cooked! Old age rocks!
