This is a very nice, thick sturdy rope.

I'm very happy I chose this rope for my project! It appears to be VERY durable, it was easy to work with, looks Fabulous & I feel it was a nice value for the price I paid.I read other reviews that suggest it could stretch 6" to 8", I see maybe 4" or so of stretch from the swing it holds up. I accounted for the stretch when hanging the string. The swing is about 100 lbs (a bit of overkill for the swing, but it is my first and I wanted it to be safe).I would purchase this product again, if I were to make another swing.

I would recommend the 2 inch one for a rope swing. It worked great. Just make sure to tie the ends if cut otherwise it frays

I used this rope to replace the cotton rope on my porch swing. This rope was great quality. Easy to cut and work with. This was a great addition to our house.

Last rope I used for cat scratching post was 3/8" sisal rope which is more coarse (scratchy) than this 1/2" Jute rope. The bindings seemed tighter in the sisal rope than with this rope. I will see how this holds up with the cat.The rope is definitely softer to the touch than sisal. This would make it better for anywhere you would have contact with it. I am guessing it may even be better for the cat? Which may be why he liked the soft sided couch so much.

Size looks good. Quality matches up with other Manila rope. Color and appearance do also. Seems like it's a little bit more flexible than some of the other stuff I've worked with which is nice because I'm wrapping it around a pole.
