I built it into a 3 foot square 6 foot high clinker brick column curbside at my residence. The column I built represents a bit of work to say the least so I wanted something durable that would be long lasting. This is it. I simply left a recess in the rear of the column to access the swinging door with a half inch protrusion above the opening to act as a drip screed.The mailbox is well built and I know it will last for decades, so I am pleased. The key system to open the doors is more like a bike lock, and I know of no way to have it reproduced. They send 2 keys, so I for one will keep track of them. If I loose one, I will then change out the lock while I still have a key to open it. That mistake would be on me, not the mailbox. This lock would not be fun to drill out, which I also like about it.I give it a 10 out of 10 as the mail shaft really is adjustable and the powder coating on mine is top notch.

After trusting the USPS to hold our mail while on vacations (and them screwing up really badly) we looked for a more practical solution. This mail slot has made our vacation planning so much easier. We can come and go at any time and have no worries that our mail has been successfully delivered.

This is a really nice mail slot. Easy to install. The metal is sturdy. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the flap doesn't lay completed closed. Also there are gaps in the hinge part. Those gaps and the door not completely shutting allows air/dirt/light to come into the house. The door we replaced didn't have these gaps. Really disappointed about that but otherwise I really like it. Works well

The product itself is very good, very durable, and well made, but, it is unforgiving in measurements. Make sure your contractor has thoroughly worked out the logistics.

The Durabox did not come with instruction I found the instructions on Durabox website. Easy installation, the closing lid is tight and will not shut close by it self unless you push down on the lid. I returned the Durabox for exchange for a new item and the replacement has the same issue, lid still not closing, I will keep and use the Durabox. Maybe after some use the closing lid will be looser I hope.

We bought this to add to our office, due to the lock down from the Coronavirus State of Emergency.We needed a secure mail drop for the mail as well as clients to drop off envelopes so we could keep the business open without having to meet directly with people.This Drop Box provided a secure solution.It is made of powder coated metal. It's solid. The Outside Mail Flap is heavy and not a flimsy metal.The drop shoot has two pieces so the unit can accommodate different size walls. The interior box is big enough fo accommodate a number of small number 10 envelopes or a few larger 9 x 11 + - envelopes if filled.The Box locks and is very solid. So it is good if you need the mail in a locked box until you can empty it.I would recommend this.Installation requires the right tools and time. If you are not handy, I would recommend hiring someone to install this. The trick is that the "Mail Shoot" has to go through the wall on an angle. So the outside Hole is higher than the inside box. You also have to be able to secure the heavy inside box to the wall. We had to put a cross piece in the wall between the studs to screw the bolts into. The unit does come with 4 large wall bolts that would work if you did not want to cut out the area behind the box. However you need to get the drop shoot lined up correctly and you will likely wind up cutting a larger hole in the inside wall that you originally expect.Overall this is a good product for the price and I recommend it.

Very solid slot, nothing fancy, adjustable to wall thickness. No spring on lid, no bristles inside, just a slide.
