This process to install is multiple steps that must be done correctly. Once finished it provides an excellent repair that last better than other thread inserts. I use these on motorcycles to repair damaged threads in the aluminum. I've have to repair threaded holes multiple times before switching to time serts. Now repair and forget,.. haven't had to repair any repaired threads at all after the change to time-serts

These inserts were to replace inserts I had used out of a kit I had previously purchased. They work great and are easy to install. They are available in a selection of lengths and a couple of different metals. Making them very versatile. Each installation kit is specific to size and thread pitch.

These are quality threaded inserts, but the only downside is that the timesert will not let the screw go past the end of the timesert. So if you need your screw to go farther than the length of the thread it wont let you. If you try, it will tear the metal apart at the bottom.
