I couldn’t be more impressed with my Topens Gate Opener! The installation was straightforward, and the system runs smoothly and quietly. The build quality is solid, and the smart features like remote control and auto-close are incredibly convenient. It has handled my heavy-duty gate effortlessly, even during bad weather. What really stood out was their customer support—quick, detailed, and extremely helpful. They answered all my questions with clear instructions and went above and beyond. Top-notch performance, reliability, and service—highly recommend!

After purchasing a TOPENS ET24 automatic gate lock for my front entrance I want to share my experience with others who are thinking about making the same purchase. Not only was this lock easy to install but, also added extra security and peace of mind. I also found it to work especially well for securing my dual gates on windy days so there is no movement of either gate while securely locked in place. I am very satisfied and recommend this TOPENS gate lock.

Very easy to install and works great. Adds additional support in the middle of the gates helping hold them together. Highly recommend.

I got this because I have two big dogs and just put in an electric gate opener. Problem was that the dogs jumping on the gate just opened it. This is solid and the instruction for connecting it to the control box were fine. But I had a horrible time getting it to latch without getting stuck. The gate catch with the rod that is grasped by the clasp has to be put exactly right or it doesn't work. And the instructions give suggestions about things you might have to try, like setting the closing gauge for the master gate a little past the normal close position. I assume this is to put extra pressure on the locking mechanism so that the bar will actually go under the clasp and lock in position. But it also makes the gate bow out a little. Any attempt to get that bow to go away results in no locking of the mechanism. And the piece that holds the bar that is the receiving mechanism for the lock has to be put in the exact right position. But there is no explanation of what that position is other than to make it level with the other piece. But it's position to the right or left is just as important. The little rod is not set in place, it moves a bit and so it can be attached where it will receive the other piece of the lock when the gate closes, but won't latch. Or it can be attached where it latches, but then there's so much pressure on it that it won't unlatch. This was, by far, the most difficult, arduous part of the process of installing the gate openers. At one point, I was despairing of ever getting to be able to actually use the gate opener because without a lock I can't let the dogs out and so I would end up having to use the slide gate I've been getting out to open every time I've left the house for the last 28 years. It is now latching and it has worked for several days, locking and unlocking each time without fail, so I am tentatively excited that I might have it all finished. However, the master gate does press out a little past the close spot, and I worry that there is pressure being put on the gate opener because of that, that will wear it out faster than normal. But, fingers crossed, it will have a long life. My only request is that the instructions would be a little better at explaining where each piece should go to work optimally. EDIT: Well I've had this for a while. I bought a gate stopper that goes into the driveway and that really helped with the gate. They do suggest that in the instructions. It has mostly worked since. However, if it is relatively windy the pressure against the gate seems to make it stop working. I am considering putting in a drop rod that I can engage during windstorms to take the pressure off the lock. The other issue is when the temperature dropped the lock froze and I was locked in for a bit. Even the key wouldn't unlock it. The openers were working fine in the cold weather. It was only the lock that had a problem. So, I would say that the lock mechanism is iffy for places that have many days below freezing. Luckily I live in a place where that's pretty rare.

Works reliably and a no brainer install with a Topens opener. Good 4 point mounting system gives installation flexibility. Straightforward mechanism with manual override and replaceable latch bolt. Recommended.

It opens and locks automatically. Feels much better knowing the gate is locked and cannot be bumped or pushed open by the wind. It is very sturdy made from heavy metal.

This is a well constructed gate lock to pair with the Topens swing arm gate openers (I bought the AT12131S). It's a must-have accessory to keep your gate securely closed. Installation is easy enough, but make sure to line both pieces up correctly. The latch can get stuck on the "latch rod", while trying to open, if the body of the latch doesn't sit back far enough while closed.

This locking mechanism is fantastic. We live remotely, so there is zero option of having an unlocked gate. Works flawlessly with a click of a button every time. Spouse easily added it to the gate brain box. I'm not technically inclined so I would have been lost.Below is the review for the whole electric gate system: We installed in Apr of 2024. We live remotely and not having a gate was not an option. After months of unlocking and unchaining the gate, we went with this option. The instructions were overwhelming to me, but my spouse (mechanic in his 30s) had no problem with it. We opted for 2 large AGM batteries and the 3 panel solar kit because we are completely off the grid, and need to count on the gate opening every time. It has not let us down. We have not tried the keypads yet, we exclusively use the remotes. The only hiccup, is we did not know how heavy the gate was (we did not purchase or install it). Based on the cylinder safety tripping, it seem our gate needs to be on ball bearings, which they do clearly state in the manual. We will be installing those when we can. The workaround is restarting the gate exactly where it stopped and it pulls open just fine. We could not live without this unit, and we hope it lasts a while. The build quality seems good but the plastic cylinder ends so concern me in terms of longevity. I think the value for money is there if we get 5 years of it, and I don't feel this item was cheap, but it could be in comparison to other units (I didn't do much shopping around.

Fácil de montar. Lo instalé en una puerta automatizada para que nadie pudiera forzar los brazos de apertura desde fuera. No ha fallado nunca.

I fitted this electric gate lock to my AT 12131 topens gate opener. A great addition that ensures the gate is properly and securely locked every time and cannot be forced open. Very sturdy build and very easy to fit and set up.

This item was purchased as an extra to the Topens A8131S single gate opener. It was simple to fit and works perfectly. It gives you added security and peace of mind that tge gate is actually closed. I would recommend this product. Many thanks.
