It is strongly recommended to use the TC173 push button with automatic swing or sliding gate opener, allowing instant access with a single press.
  • Easy to Program - Simple to add the wireless push button to your gate opener system using the programming button on the control board. One TOPENS gate opener can pair Max. 8 TC173 push button on its own, and up to 250 with ERM12 External Receiver (sold separately). Each time you press the button, the gate will operate between open-stop-close-stop-open. The 27A 12V alkaline battery (incl.) lasts up to 1 year at 5-10 activations per day.
  • Clever Design - TC173 gate push button provides an excellent 65 foot operating range. If there is no signal interruption, one TC173 can operate countless gate openers simultaneously within the control range. The push button can be easily mounted on a clean, solid & flat surface, or conveniently clipped onto a car sun visor. Simply press the button to start or stop the gate opener. Great for your family to access!
  • Wide Compatibility- Works with all the TOPENS gate openers, and is compatible with most third party gate opener or garage door opener whose control board accepts the "Normal Open Dry Contact" signal for the push button, and connects with our ERM12 External Receiver (sold separately). The ERM12 can be powered by 9-24VDC from the control board or external power source.   • The LED on the push button indicates RF transmission.

    If the control range decreases greatly or the LED is off when pressing the button, the batteries need replacement.

  • Do not put the control board in a metal box.

    Do not use the TC173 at signal towers, electrical substations and confined spaces. Some buildings or obstructions may affect the control range.

    Use ERM12 Receiver to extend the control range of the TC173.

This was a great addition to our Topens gate opener. We use this device just inside our house exit door to operate gate when needed. We used the screws to mount to wall where we keep the remote. Works great. Looks really good.

The system is good and works as specified, however I have 3 issues for the manufacturer.1. The 12 volt batteries don't last. Some last a few weeks and some last a few days. Did not get the dates on them but seem to be totally erratic as to how long they will last. Even the spares that come with the units may or may not last for long.2. Locking clips on the base that hold the button on unit are totally useless. Even with great care, sliding in the button piece, after aligning clips will after 1 or 2 tries break the clips off the base unit. Then nothing will hold it in. We used a small screw with washer to make sure the button unit stays put. 3. As I mentioned in my E-mail, the control board is not the same as shown in the manual. Circuits are A. not in the same place as shown, B. the unit has 5 potentiometers but the manual shows 3, C. the microswitch in the manual shows 3 toggles and our board has 5.Anyway, after all of the problems and issues, the system is now working flawlessly except for the battery issue.One question remains, must the remotes be re-programmed every time the batteries are changed? Did not notice this in the manual.
