I purchased these switches because I needed to control a light and exhaust fan in a couple of bathrooms. The existing double switch was in a single gang box in a cement wall, so expanding that to a double gang box was not an option. The switches were easy to install and "program." I set the light to come on automatically with motion, as the bathrooms do not have windows for natural light, so folks not familiar with them had to search around for the switches. I set the fan to be turned on manually. Both the light and the fan turn off automatically after 5 or so minutes of no movement. I'm quite satisfied with the operation of the switches.

Instructions very clear, came with all the necessary parts to install, setup instructions clear, easy to adjust. Now the light in my pantry comes on when the door opens and stays on for 1.5 minutes as per my programming. No more reaching for the off switch when hands are full and no more light left on by mistake. Why did I wait so long to do this?

Easy to install. My existing switch only has w wires and a ground, and with no neutrals. It was great to find this motion sensor switch. I am still trying to figure out how to switch between the occupied vs vacant mode I wish it is a sliding switch not the push for 3 second variant. However, the motion sensing part work just great. 15 second is about what I needed for it to stay on. Overall, I am very happy with the product.

Most of the motion sensor light switches lack an easy to access switch to keep the light on for longer periods of time. I like the motion sensor functionality for my garage as I typically need to grab something from the freezer, get in my vehicle, or arrive with my hands full. I like the automatic on feature for those short durations and I don't have to worry about turning the light off after. However, sometimes I am working in my garage and sitting in an area that the sensor is blocked from. With my previous motion sensor, I had to get out a screwdriver to slide a small switch to activate the light to always on. This is much easier to simply slide the switch to "on". I haven't had to use the "off" feature, but I suppose that could be handy if you don't want the light to automatically turn on during a certain time. Works perfectly and changes from motion to always on with the slide of a switch. An added bonus is that a typical square faceplate fits perfectly, but the reason for 4 stars is because it doesn't come with a faceplate. It wasn't an issue as the switch I replaced had one, but it's annoying to have to purchase that separately.

I bought this because it’s easy to set it to turn off, on or delayed off. My other one I had to hunt for the instruction booklet or find the YT video to recall how to program it to a different setting for times I just need to keep the lights on.

The variable time delay on this product is NOT adjustable from 15 sec to 30 min. You can only turn on 15 sec, 10 mins, 20 mins, or 30 min. Nothing in-between. Return and get the Kasa Smart Motion Sensor switch.

I bought this thing to put in my 2 year old's room so that he can have the light come on when he goes in his room by himself. He can't reach the switch, so this was the next-best option. It works pretty well with customization and sensitivity, but there's one oddity that keeps happening: when I turn on/off lights in other rooms this switch will mistakenly trigger as if someone has entered the room. Which is strange because the way I have it positioned, this switch does not face the door; it is only seeing reflection from light bouncing off the wall in the room it's in. Not really sure how to correct that.

I bought this switch because my current motion switch started turning off a few seconds after turning the light on. This one looks very similar to my old one but it's obviously a different model. The wiring colors were the same between the two so I thought the installation would be no problem (connect the switch wires to the same ones as the old switch). However, while the dedicated On/Off positions worked fine, the sensor would not turn the light on (could not even get the LED on the switch to light).I don't know who installed the previous switch but I would venture a guess that it wasn't a qualified electrician. My advise to everyone is "Know the source of each wire coming from the wall REGARDLESS OF WHAT COLOR IT IS!" In my case I had 2 red wires, a white wire, and a green ground wire coming from the wall. The convention is that there should be a black (line), red (load), white (neutral), and a green (ground) wire. However, through some experimentation and measurements I determined that my wires were actually:White: lineRed1: loadRed2: I'll explain in a minuteGreen: groundThe wiring for the old switch was:Switch wire Red -> Wall WhiteSwitch wire Black -> Wall Red2Switch wire White -> Wall Red1 (load)Switch wire Green -> GroundNone of these make any sense except for the ground wire! Here is the situation I have: The light is in a small laundry room between the garage and the house. There is a flip switch on the wall next to the garage door (which I never use and is always in the up (on) position). The sensor switch is next to the door by the house entrance. The "mystery" red2 wire was coming from the flip switch by the garage door. If the flip switch is down (off) the sensor switch will not work in either the Auto or On positions (thus, it was always in the up position).I have no idea how the old switch could have ever worked wired in that way!I solved the problem and got everything working properly by wiring the new switch based on what I knew about where each wall wire was coming from:Switch wire Red -> Wall Red1 (load) AND Wall Red2 (powered by the flip switch)Switch wire Black -> Wall White (line)Switch wire White -> Ground (since there was no "neutral" wire coming from the wall)Switch wire Green -> GroundNow, if for some reason the sensor switch is in the dedicated OFF position I can turn the light on with the flip switch by the garage door (something that wasn't possible with the old switch/wiring). But since the sensor switch will always be in the Auto position it's kind of a moot point but good to know.Bottom line: Know the REAL source of your wires regardless of what color they are!!Hope this helps someone.

The sensor works perfectly, and having the dials for customizing the sensitivity, length of time it’s on, and whether it detects ambient light made this an ideal sensor. There are probably other options, but I can say the one I received works as I hoped.

El artÃculo llegó sin la tapa de vista. Afortunadamente yo tenÃa una que le queda bien. El artÃculo tiene 4 cables para conexión. Yo necesito uno con 3 cables.
