This is just a simple leak monitor, no apps, no remote detection, just a simple put it where you need it. Its just what I was looking for as I didn't want to be bothered with installing another app on my phone. I got this to put in a ac drip pan to monitor for any leaks or blockages in the condensate drain. It seems to be working well. I tested it and it quickly reacted to water with a loud an piercing tone. Its super loud and you can hear it even if it is hidden up in the attic. Not sure how long the batteries will last so I'll just replace it annually (if I can remember). This is really a good bargain, its so cheap and is working as advertised.

I got this for a friend who had a water inlet valve problem on her washer. If we had this little $5 unit in place, there would've been less flooding on her laundry room floor. I like that this comes with everything you need except a 9v battery. It has double stick tape for the control unit and the sensor. You get a pack of 3 for around $15. Cheap insurance! I tested it by putting the sensor under the kitchen faucet. Wow! It's Loud! A nice feature is that it has an on/off switch. Not sure why you'd need it because you'll always want it 'on', but that's handy. I guess if it's going off, you don't want it screaming at you while you mop up the water. This is good for any type of water / liquid overflow. It could be the laundry room, under sink pipes, whatever you can imagine. The cord to the sensor seems long enough. You could always splice more cord into it to make it longer and I'll bet it will work just fine. I was glad to find these in a 3 pack even though I only needed 1. I'm sure you'll come up with other places where a water / liquid sensor could be useful.

We have a sump pump in our basement. We also have a brand new sump pump standing by, ready to install in case it stops working. I am always concerned that this will happen in the middle of the night and I will not know it. This little gizmo was the easiest fix. I zip-tied the unit to the horizontal PVC pipe that sits just above the pit, and allowed the little sensor to dangle down into the pit. If the water rises even a few inches above the level it normally gets to when the pump should be activated, I will hear the alert in plenty of time to change out the new one. (My brilliant husband drilled holes in the plastic liner of the pit, so even with heavy rain, it will take some time for the level in the foundation to rise to the level of the floor.)The alarm is quite loud. We can hear it throughout the house. My strategy is to check the unit every time we get heavy rain to ensure that the battery is good and the unit is still working. I like that there are 3 of these included in the pack.NOTES:--This unit does best with a fresh battery.--The sensor is so sensitive that it detects even a drop of water that is splashed onto it. The first time I heard the alarm, I bolted downstairs thinking that the pump had failed, and that I had indeed averted a disaster! Nope. Just a little splash caused by the suction of the water, and the "shudder" of the pump. I fixed that by taping the wire to the vertical PVC pipe, which allows the sensor to remain in the middle of the pit. It seems to be out of the way of splashes there.

Saved me a whole lot of massive damage . were having really bad Northwest wesather below freezing several days blizzard and now Ice storm. 6am heard the siren from upper floor - knew immediately there was a water leak somewhere , ran down stairs , sure enough the garage alarm was loud and warning as I had burst pipes. shut water down immediately and saved a whole lot of further damage by these waking me up.WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY SPENT. THEY WORK WELL AND YOU'LL KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF LEAK IF PLACED COREECTLY. Spending little for the 3 units but were worth much more for warning me an issue was at hand. If you worry about leaks and want something to notify you these work great!Seriously had the water continued I would have had a few hundred dollars damage - I have 6 units throughout the house wherever there could be leaks. IM SOLD ON THEM....THEY ALREADY PAID BACK IN A HuGE WAY! worth every penny , can't stress enough! Simple but powerful. saves $$$ from damage .

Placed the leak sensor under our dishwasher. Had a leak with our previous unit and this one is getting older. Very dusty area, so I recycled an almondcan cover and improvised a dust cover. We tested the sensor prior to placing it and yes, it's loud but, to me, it's a good thing. I plan to do the same under our washer and hot water heater.

Well first problem was that I didn’t realize i needed to buy 9V batteries which adds to the cost. Once I got those, the first sensor worked :) Super loud. Put it under the sink. Then I went to test the other two and neither one worked. My advice: If you take a chance on these don’t mount them anywhere until you’ve tested all of them. I had to get back under my sink to get the first one out so I can return all three.

they work perfectly even with the moisture on my hands they can detect. Not just one tone, they device increases the tone/volume depending on the amount of water detected.I have one next to my water cylinder and 1 under the bath for peace of mind.

Lo usamos para las garrafas del aire acondicionado para evitar que rebosen, y funciona bastante bien. El sonido es super estridente eso si, pero asà nos avisa mejor.

I just got them and tested all 3 and so far great sensors and super sensitive. Takes little moisture to trigger them. They say to wipe the probe (part at the end of the wire that lies on the floor) after each use or when it contacts water. I can see why because water left on it would probably corrode it. Not a problem because these are far superior to the one I paid much more for and is a brand name. Loud enough to be heard but I question if they are truly 120db but the sound is ear piercing so more than acceptable to me. If you've had water damage in the past these are the best solution to warn of leaks. I have one on the basement floor and one under the kitchen sink and haven't decided where to use the 3rd. For this price and a 2yr warranty these are the most inexpensive solution and so far work great. If you want wireless alerts to phone etc then these are not for you. I have a small house so I can easily hear them. These are the best bang for the buck even if they last only 2yrs because for $22 they are worth every penny for peace of mind.
