Purchased to be used on a gin pole I'm using to help build a 12' x 12' stone "house". Some rocks weigh over 300lbs. This winch should handle the project with no problem. Looks sturdy and well made.

It seems well-made and heavy duty, but I stripped the bolt in the handle, trying to secure it. So if you purchase this product do not overtighten the only bolt you have to attach. Edit. They sent me a whole new one.

I ORIGINALLY gave this 1 star because the box didn't show what I had ordered. After opening it up, it's exactly what I had wanted. Durable with the strap, not the steel cable.

This winch was crazy sturdy. Well built n impressive. I did not care for the heavy steel cable although if you were winching vehicles ... steel cable does not make a good boat winch line
